On her first night Claire walked into the large common room behind the portrait of Merlin, well many muggles believed the story of Merlin to be a fantasy, Claire had always believed in him. She had been having a pleasant conversation with him when the other students became impatient and she was forced to go inside, after promising to return to finish their talk after dinner. Inside was the most magical place of the whole castle! The walls and furniture and even the fire were all yellow and black. On the wall were a million portrait, each talking and walking around. She smiled and walked up the stairs half paying attention to where she was walking. She opened the door and looked at the walls searching for her assigned room, "Number 515, 515." Finally she found it, she walked in and saw three boys laying on the beds. She felt herself turn bright red and said,"Uh.. I'm sorry, I'm a transfer student, and the common room was so fascinating, I guess I just went up the wrong staircase. I um... I'm sorry. I'll go now."
The guys all looked at each other
"Hey, it's cool." The guy on the left said, "I'm Josh and this is Mike and Fred." Josh said and pointed to the different guys. "Oh I'm Claire, I just transferred here.""Hey you want to hang out; you seem cool" Mike said.
"Actually I have to get my bags to my real room. Let's meet up in the Common Room in 5 minutes, ok."
"Sure." said Josh. Claire grabbed her bags and left.
She passed a short girl levitating a piece of cheese. The cheese almost seemed to waltz in the air! Even parnterless and accompanymentless, the gracful sway was intriguing. A fuzzy kitten of startling orange fur stared at it eagerly from her spot in front of the fireplace."Aaaahhhhh!! Stop!!!" a tallish 2nd year cried, "I'm lactose intolerant!!!!" She ran behind the curtains.
Claire laughed and went up to her real room. She saw there was only one other bed; that meant one roommate. She walked in and was surprised when the short girl who had been levitating chesse walked in. "Oh, I guess your my roommate." Claire said "I'm Claire."
"I suppose you are. I'm Magi," Magi said, smiling. "We're gonna be best buddies!"
"Totally! Why are these walls black and yellow? Let's make them something fun!! Pincota Sintura Bright Orange. Pincota Sintura Bright Pink!" Claire said and the walls turned birght pink and bright orange. "Now that's better. Sorry I can't stay long. I promised to meet these three guys in the common room: Mike, Fred and Josh. We should hang out later." Claire said and left the room.
Magi played with her cheese for a while, and being the non-stalker she was, sneaked down the staircase and had a peek at the common room.
Claire walked to the fire to meet the guys. They were all sitting at a table with books spread in front of them. "Hey guys."
"Hey Claire. Find your room?" Josh said
"Oh, yeah I found it. What are you guys studying?"
"I'm studying Ancient Runes, Josh is looking of Divinations(SP?) and Mike is looking over potions."
"Coolness." Claire looked out the window and saw some kids flying on broomsticks. "They look like they're having so much fun."
Josh looked up, "Yeah flying is awsome. Oh, guys don't forget about the try outs tonight."
"Do you guys play Quiditch?"
"Yeah me and Mike are chasers and Fred is Keeper. I wonder who is going to be the new seeker. We lost the best one last year when he graduated."
"I wish I knew how to fly... I never learned."
"WHAT THE HECK!!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN A DESERTED ISLAND!!!" The guys all yelled at her, attracting a lot of attention.
"No, I was raised by muggles."
"So, didn't you take flying in first year?" Claire shook her head,
"I just came here remember."
"Well, we'll teach you. I was getting no where in Ancient Runes anyway."
"Oh my gosh you guys are so nice!!!"
The boys packed up their books and then the four of them went down to the field.
(Hey Maggie do you want to play Quiditch??)
Ana was heading down the stairs for the field. She wanted to take a nice ride with her broom, and play some quidditch just in case there was a game going on.
Sky walked into the common room, unnoticed as usual, and saw someone watching from the staircase. She ran behind a chair and watched.
(yeah more people!! Do you guys want to play Quiditch)
(So far we have three chasers(the boys, we can change them if we want to) I want to be Keeper, Maggie said she will play, but I'm not sure what position. That leaves Beaters and Seeker)Claire followed the guys down to the field, and they showed her how to ride.
"Ok, first things first.. don't ever upset the broom. If you upset the broom you're a goner." Mike said to her.
"It's not like the broom has a personality."
"Au contra young one. The broom has a very distent mind." Josh said to her.
Claire looked at the broom in hand.
"What's the personality of this one." she asked.
"That's Samantha. She is peaceful except if you try to dive to fast. Luckily, you won't be going that fast." Fred said.
"You named it? No comment." Claire said and got on the broom.
"Ok tilt the broom up to start." Claire did and found herself about 15 feet off the ground.
"Awesome!! Now try to turn." Claire leaned forward and turned around the court. Josh flew over to a box and got out a large red ball, about the same size of a soccer ball.
"Are you guys going to play some Quiditch?"
"Yep, all three of us are chasers. You can be on Mike's team." Josh said
"That's cause I'm the best." Mike said to her. Claire rolled her eyes and flew over to the goals. The small game got started. Claire was doing awesome blocking the passes. At one moment all the boys stopped playing and huddled. Claire flew over there.
"What's the secret plan?" She whispered. The boys practically jumped off their brooms.
"We were talking about how the team needs a new keeper. You should try out."
"Me??? I don't know if I can."
"Aw come on. At least try out." Josh said.
"Well, maybe."
Magi watched from behind the stands. She still felt like a stalker. Ah well."Hey guys, can I play?"
"Sure grab a broom." Claire called down to her roommate.
"Yay!" she cried, and flew up to meet the others. "Whose team should I join? And what position do I play?"
((good for you))"I call being a beater, no matter whose team I'm on," Sky said.
"I'm keeper. The guys are all chasers so how about if Magi plays chaser for one team with Mike and Fred and Josh can be chasers for the other team. Sorry Sky but I don't think we're going to have the bludgers out today. How about if you be keeper for one team and I'll play for the other team." Claire said flying down.

So now that all the kids are sorted and the begining of the year is settled, let's have the roleplaying going on in whichever group the character is in. (If you're in Ravenclaw, do the rp in the Ravenclaw discussions, if in Gryffindor rp in the Gryffindor discussions)
Everyone can go into each others' discussions and read, and coincedentally meet and stuff because kids from other houses always have to meet some point in the castle, but I though this would make everything less confusing. For me, anyway ;P
