Hideouts??
I really only have my room. Everywhere else is occupied by my brothers' fighting/playing! I like to curl up on the couch with a blanket and a few pillows and just read for hours!!!

Oh really? I get sucked into the book and can't stop! Sometimes I loose all feeling in my feet and can't walk at first!
Emily wrote: "Oh really? I get sucked into the book and can't stop! Sometimes I loose all feeling in my feet and can't walk at first!"Me too, I will completely zone out for hours on end with a book and it's like a movie playing in my head.
I like my disc chair in my room in the sun, any of our couches as long as it's decently quiet, a particular tree, the barn in the hay loft, it my bed.
i read anywhere and everywhere noise doesnt bother me coz i tune everything out if the book is good enough
See, if I read somewhere that I have to watch for possible airborne objects that's bad because when I tune out I normally tune EVERYTHING out.
What's weird though, is that I can tune everything out at school, but not at home. I missed the directions for part of my bio test today. Oops!
Emily wrote: "What's weird though, is that I can tune everything out at school, but not at home. I missed the directions for part of my bio test today. Oops!"Wow.
Sometimes I tune things out to.Actually a lot. Somedays I'm just out of it and say things that don't make sense.
I like to read in bed, in the tub, out on my balcony (in the summer) and on the loveseat in my baby's room, but only when she's not in there. Lol! Sometimes when I need a break and my husband will find me in her room reading.
Emily wrote: "Really? That's funny. What about her room relaxes you?"It's kind of a small room, so it's cosy, plus when she's not there, it's really quiet and the light comes in there really good. And the couch is super comfy.
Lol, I used to like reading on the roof of my mom's house in the summer, it's completely flat and has a nice view, so was always a good place to go hide from my 3 brothers.
That is pretty cool. I normally read in my bed, but I can only read for an hour or two before I have to get up and do something
Yeah, that's usually what happens to me too, but lately I've been reading instead of doing homework!
I like to read for hours on end, normally I can only get enough peace to do so at night so that doesn't happen often.
I usually curl up on the couch with pillows and blankets. I read for hours and hours and normally try to read my whole book in one sitting. My mom says I read too much.
I hear that alot, like the other day my bf and I were sitting together on the couch and we were reading his mom stuck her head in and after offering us fresh made cookies she commented we read to much :)
Coletta wrote: "I usually curl up on the couch with pillows and blankets. I read for hours and hours and normally try to read my whole book in one sitting. My mom says I read too much."Same for me! I'm in a special study hall with only two other people(both guys O_o), and I have a lot of time to read. And they're always like "Why are you reading?" And I'm like "Because I can!"
Also, my 'hideout' is my bed/the floor/sitting against the closet.
Actually reading at school is normally what I do. But its really hard to get into the book with all the noise and stuff. Also I'm super protective of my books :)
Hey patty! At my school we have a half an hour where the whole school has to read. But the guys in my homeroom are so obnoxious that I can never concentrate.
there is a park by my apartment that has a little grove of trees. The trees are close enough together that I can be outside and yet people won't notice me in the trees. My all time favorite place by far
i used to read at school but one time when i was zoned out some guy fell on my desk a ruined more then half the pages!and it was a brand new book!so now i mostly read at home either on my bed(after everyones asleep if it's a school night) or on the couch when no ones around becasue one can only tune out so much!
I try to read everywhere I can. In the car on the way to or from school, in class when I don't want to listen to boring AP bio notes, during lunch (sometimes I don't feel like eating so I hang out with the librarians and read), at home, all the time in my room, on the bus(I am very good with drowning out noise), in the bathroom, while I'm eating, between hw...I pretty much read all the time all day long. well, let's just say that it has been a long time since i have gone a day without reading. But, out of all the places I read, my room is my favorite. It is private and it is a studio like room filled with colors and sunlight. It is where I can get the most peace.

When I'm not out, I'm almost always reading in my bed! I'm awful at tuning out noise, so that rules out most public places (except for some reason i don't have any problem drowning out teachers in school....hmmm)
I love to read in my bed, especially with music on. I'm on the corner on the house farthest away from the main rooms, aka all the noise
I like to sit in front of the fireplace with a fuzzy blanket. The only problem is, every five seconds my mom walks past and tells me to do something like clean my room, or practice cello.
When I lived with my parents my fave places were on the hearth in front of the fireplace, and in random trees in the mountains. Now it's anywhere from curled up on the couch with my soft fleece blanket or laying on a blanket on the beach.
My hideout is the woods. If my mom didnt wakie talkie me every so ofen i would be lost in my own little world.
Emily wrote: "Oh really? I get sucked into the book and can't stop! Sometimes I loose all feeling in my feet and can't walk at first!"me too before I put down a book it's tommorow and
When I just need to read i go to my loft bed and sit against my body pillow with my door closed and my curtains closed. It's calming because my curtains are kindof sheer so it casts a pink glow on my room. When I'm up there I go into this zone and you have to physically shake me to get me out of it!
my bed. I try reading on the recliner I have in my room but it just doesnt cut it. It has to be a bed for me
i can usually read anywhere as long as it's soft and there isn't noise.
I usually read in my room and I always read with my ipod on (:I used to enjoy reading outside but I can no longer do that because my neighbor is really weird and just stares at me through his window. -__-
On the floor somewhere, or in my closet.
I like to read in my basement...there are shelves full of books on almost all of the walls and because my house is old it's almost always warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I like it better when i have a bottle of rootbeer and a big bowl of chocolate and jelly beans, but i can usually settle for no kne bothering me while i listen to my ipod and read.

Kirsty ~ David Tennant Rocks! wrote: "That's disturbing...."It's really uncomfortable but he's deaf so I can't say anything to him and I don't know enough sign language either -_-
Madeleine wrote: "I like to read in my basement...there are shelves full of books on almost all of the walls and because my house is old it's almost always warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I like it better..."That sounds nice :)
Irene wrote: "Madeleine wrote: "I like to read in my basement...there are shelves full of books on almost all of the walls and because my house is old it's almost always warm in the winter and cool in the summer..."It is, my only company is usually my snoring dog, but we don't really mind each other. She curls up on the chair and I curl up on the tiny little couch we have down there...it's one of my favorite places in the world.

Is it cozing up in a big chair next to the fireplace? A out-door yard? Starbucks, even?
I usually read in my room with music. I can't stop listening to music! It seems to speed up the book and its all quiet. Other than that anywhere that's comfortable and quiet :D
Where's your's?
