Sammi landed in the fields and barked, waiting for Nathan.

Nathan had reluctantly jumped through the portal, scared out off his wits.

Sammi walked over to him and licked his face.

Nathan laughed slightly, more on the verge of feinting, if anything. "Sammi?"

She closed her eyes and shifted. Soon she was ssititn gnext to him in her old dress,"Yes?" She nuzzled his neck

Nathan's eyes were wide for awhile as he tried to adjust to the area. "How . . . ?" He shook his head. "I mean, where are we?"

"Summerland. The Illusion Fields"she smiled,"I thought you'd prefer to be somewhere less morbid" The scene aroun them changed. Now they were sitting on the back porch in a beach house, outlooking the sea.

Nathan sighed, then lied down, looking up. "That's . . . wonderful," he gave a small smile and crossed his arms behind his head.

She laughed and stood up. She walked inside and to the kitchen, soon she had a whole lunch prepared.

"What's that I smell?" Nathan sniffed. "Smells good."

"Lunch"she yelled and sat at the breakfast bar. She had made eggs, bacon, ham sandwhiches, turkey sandwhiches, fried chicken, and french fries. A pitcher of Orange juice sat on the counter.

Nathan stood up and raised an eyebrow, awe-struck. "You made all this? I didn't know you could cook. You did all that pretty quickly, too."

"Well, the sandwhiches were in my bag, and eggs and bacon are really quick to make."she shrugged,"The chicken was already pre-made and i just put the french fries in the pot. Now eat!"She handed him a plate and a glass of Orange juice.

"Oh, alright then," Nathan gave her a quick smile and sat down to eat as fast as he could. "This is all so good, considering I'm so hungry right now! Thanks, Sammi."

"Welcome. So, Nathan....."she sighed and shook her head,"never mind."

Nathan paused, swallowed the food in his mouth, then looked up at her. "What is it?"

She blinked and shook her head,"Nothing."

The paint around them turned black, due to her mood.

"Um," Nathan looked around frantically. "Sammi, what's going on? Please tell me what it is you wanted to say . . ."

The paint turned back to normal. Sammi sighed,"I'm just confused. About....us"

"Wait, what do you mean?" Nathan stood up and walked over to her, taking her hands. "You already know what going on between us. I . . ."

"You what?"she looked at him with catiuos eyes

"I care about you," Nathan grasped for words that could express his feelings. "I can't even begin to tell you how much I do."

She rolled her eyes,"Well try. I've heard this all before, Nathan. Prove to me that your telling the truth"

"You doubt it, don't you?"

"A bit."she bit her lip," But you are the first guy that admitted his feelings without hesitation. Most guys are too afriad"

Nathan let go of her hands, feeling slightly hurt. "I wasn't afraid cause I saw you for who you were . . . who you are."

She kissed his cheek,"Nathan....i like you a lot. Your diffrent from most guys i've dated, and trust me that's a great thing. Just promise me you won't give up on me, if something happens"

"What makes you think I'll ever give up on you?" Nathan said softly, kissing her on the lips.

She kissed him back before whispering,"I always mess things up"

"Trust me," Nathan laughed slightly at the idea. "You won't mess this relationship."

She smiled,"If you say so and since you've been so nice." She gave him 3 chocalte chip cookies

"Oh?" Nathan beamed brightly, lightly kissing her. "I earn a reward for being sincere?"

"Yes, and for just being you"she kissed his cheek and stood up,"Wanna walk on the beach?"

Nathan nodded, smiling. He followed her and took her hand.

Sammi smiled and rested her head on his shoulder

Nathan slowly walked out of the house, and went by the side of the salty water by the sand. "Sammi . . ." Nathan said softly.

She looked at him,"Yes?"

"I care about you, alright?" Nathan sighed, then looked into her eyes. "If you must ask how much again, I won't mind . . . You have a right to doubt me."

She sighed,"I shouldn't doubt you....i know you care"

"But would you know how much?" Nathan looked out to at the horizon where water met sky. "Your question . . . troubles me. I do love you."

She stared at him suprised. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him.

Nathan's eyes widened, then closed as she kissed him. He placed his hands on her waist and brought her closer.

She buried her fingers in his hair and kissed him harder.

Nathan opened his mouth on hers and kissed as furious as she was. He could feel her heart thumping, and he held her tighter. It was feeling warming than usual already.

Sammi slowly pulled away and whispered,"I love you too"

Nathan grinned, his nose touching hers. He was breathing really hard, but he tried to talk. "I know," he panted.

She blushed bright red,"Oh really? How did you know?"

"Why else would you be kissing me like that?" Nathan laughed, placing a hand on her cheek. "You're cute when you blush."

She blushed even more,"Shut up...i do not"
