I've got around five books I still have to finish. One I'm currently reading and four I lost interest in.

I'm currently one book. For me, if I read more than one book at a time, I lose track of each book. Some people are different I guess.
I own a book that I'm dying to read but cant until I finish the one I'm reading (which is not the best book I've read). Anyone get that feeling?

Yep. That happens to me too Alice! :D
Yep. That happens to me too Alice! :DI just place the first book down if it doesn't get interesting anymore.
 Hahaha. :D
Hahaha. :DBecause of my work I had to make sure I enjoy the book I am reading.
If I had time I would probably finish them.
I will reread them though as soon as I don't have books to read. :D
One at a time as well, but for now I'm making an exception, since the other book is like a bible, I'm taking my time reading it, since its pretty thick with 700+ pages each volume, while I start on Divergent.

Its like the bible, although its more detailed and visual than the bible itself.
 OOhhh. Sounds interesting.
OOhhh. Sounds interesting. Are you half way through already?
If its that long it would probably take me three months to finish.
 So far I've only read forty pages. ^^;;
So far I've only read forty pages. ^^;;My brother kept teasing me that I need the guidance of the holy spirit to finish it since its quite deep. lol
 Good luck with that! :D
Good luck with that! :DHahaha. I wish that the holy spirit would also guide you. :D
What is it about? Is it a collection of poems?
Or a story?
Story of the bible, only difference is she describes the places in Jerusalem with details and how each of the bible characters looks like just like a novel! So when I started reading it its like I'm playing a moving inside my head. I never got that experience when I read the bible. She explained in her autobiography that God came to her and showed her the story of the bible while she writes it down. She even mentioned that she did not use the bible. D=

     What? Really?!
What? Really?!That's amazing. So i guess it is very detailed.
So she never used the Bible while writing this?
How come I never heard of her?
Yup, right now I'm in the part where Mary is about to be born.
Yup, right now I'm in the part where Mary is about to be born. She did say she didn't use the bible for reference.
I also heard this book has had some controversy about being accepted by the Church, which is understandable, for the line between revelation and delusion can be a thin one.
Anyways I'm a fast reader so hopefully I could finish the volume1 in just a month. Although I tend to read slower with YA books since I'm running out of stock with new books that I could read, I'm low in budget at the time. >.<
Yeah the Church are very sensitive with things like that.
Yeah the Church are very sensitive with things like that. Was it just portions of the bible of the entire thing?
I am short on budget too. :D
Sometimes I use ebooks to save. :p
My aunt told me the whole bible is in it.
My aunt told me the whole bible is in it. I've been wanting a kindle for a while now, although I've been hearing that ebooks are getting expensive as well, is that true? O.O
@Jam : most of them are but some you can get for free.

@Shannon: 7? wow that's a lot.
Only 2, though I typically read one at a time.

)I read pretty fast though so I usually have to get four or five books from the library to stop my mom from having to go to the library every day :)
sadly my new high school doesnt really allow for much reading time so i have to squeeze it in whenever i have frees or am in a boring class because at home im swamped with work :/
@ Lisa: I usually read up to two books at a time.

I used to read really fast too, unfortunately work takes much of my time.
Haha me too. The price to pay for reading now is bad grades and/or no sleep.

Yeah and when you get older you have to put off reading so that you won't get bad grades. :D

I'm a lil embarrassed to say this but I'm currently reading 9 books. Mostly series mind you, and I sorta get bored of the same story so after awhile I shift to another series

I think I'm going to give up though on Shiver, this is my second attempt at reading that book. I really wish I could like it but I just can't get int it

I agree. Shiver isn't the best wolf book there is. I almost stopped reading it completely.
The trouble with spells is pretty good. :D I liked it.

I've heard some really good and some really bad reviews about the book "Strange Angels". Do you like the book so far?

I used to read two books at a time but noticed that it's not as exciting and that I always rather read this book than the other. Then the other book never gets finished becuase every other book I read is always more interesting. Jeesh, it's complicated.

Hate to put down a book before I have finished it. That makes it hard to finish. Often do read two or three at once. Find that nonfiction usually take longer to read. I can finish a Robb book in one sitting. True of most of my favorite authors. Then there are books like Passages or The Historian which just take more time because of shear length.

For myself I only read one at a time, but right now I'm also in the middle of reading The Hunger Games trilogy to my kids. It's been ok despite my OCD because I have already read The Hunger Games myself, so I am not trying to keep two different stories straight in my head at the same time.

I still haven't read them yet but I've seen the movie. :) I loved the movie and I can't wait to start the books. I'm a crazy reader (reading 4 books currently) so I guess I have to finish those before I start any others. :D

Haha, that's exactly what happens to me. :D

I'm a one book at a time girl. If I loose interest, I will start another. I have gone back to books I've dropped, but I always start over. For that reason alone, I usually finish books.

I'm one at a time kinda girl too. I can't overlap either. But I'm in a middle of, like, a 100+ series. I use the read the series back-to-back but not anymore.

If a series is really good, I can't help but read back-to-back and it helps me remember details that I may otherwise forget. Sometimes before I start a new series, I check to see if has been completed and if not how many books there will inevitably be. If there are 3 books written and 10 are expected, I probably won't start the series at all and make a note to read down the road. Waiting a year for new books in grating on my nerves.
