Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments The Cool Woman A Novel by John Aubrey Anderson Some of this is set Saigon - Thailand. It is pretty neat reading about the area. I was very cliche, talking to the book & saying I was there. I've been right there! LOL Still reading it but during my nap today I couldn't stop dreaming about the characters in the book.

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments {China} Lost on Planet China The Strange and True Story of One Man's Attempt to Understand the World's Most Mystifying Nation, or How He Became Comfortable Eating Live Squid by J. Maarten Troost This is a really good read if you are thinking about spending some time in China. There are plenty of times where I was shaking my head, with wonder and agreement at the same time.

Mad Scientist (madscientist) | 1119 comments Nice! My brother was dating a girl from Uzbekistan. She came here through a summer program to work at Burger King or Hardees. I thought was weird but I'd jump at a chance like that if I lived in a country that rarely let people out.
