Staircase
Daniel lay sleeping on the center step on the staircase, one arm draped over his stomach and the other hanging off the step. He moaned and his eyes closed tighter. His head hurt a bit, and he was really cold, but figuring it all for a dream, where everything was blank, he hoped he would wake up soon.
Daniel started awake and froze at the darkness. He gingerly felt around his eyes to make sure they were open, then tried to get up. To do this, he was going to put one hand down beside him and push himself up, but when his hand went further down then he thought, he started falling down the stairs. He screamed out once before hitting the side of his head on the stairs. Then he rolled off the stairs and into the hallway.
London sat at the bottom of the step as the stranger fell. She repressed the urge to laugh by biting on her knuckles.
After he was killed, Daniel again woke up on the stairs. It took a while, and he had to search for any wounds (that were strangely gone) to realize that he was awake, alive, and unhurt. No... Daniel pressed the heel of his hand against his forehead.
Six grinned up at Daniel. "Great, you're awake. I was just making a deal with the girl, then I promise I'll return my attention back to you."
((I made your original!))
((I made your original!))
Eve ran up the steps, she saw Daniel and stopped to kneel by him. "How are you doing..?" She mentally kicked herself. He just died you idiot! And you asked how he was doing?! Eve bit her lip as she thought to herself.
Six rushed after her, grabbing a large clump of Eve's hair. "Wrong move, human," he hissed into into her ear. He ran a long claw down her face, tracing her jawbone. "I almost thought about giving you that free pass, just because you were smart enough to ask for it."
"Let go of her!" London demanded as she rose from her position on the stairs and glared at Six.She grabbed his arm and tried to pull him back weakly but felt as though she was fading.
Six elbowed London hard, grinning. "Back off, ghostie, she's mine. Or should I get that awful memory woman to come and remind you why you're here?"
She glared at him recoiling from the blow that hurt only a little. She was slightly annoyed by him calling her ghostie but then again he never learned her name.Idiot, she thought to herself as she regained balance "I said let go you idiot!" She punched him in the stomach
Eve turned to Six, she didn't show fear because she didn't have it. She faced him and put on her sweetest and by far most seductive face. "You know you couldn't hurt me though.."
Zia walked out of the living room and into the staircase. She peeked around and walked over to the girl standing there.Wrong move
There was another monster talking to this girl.
Six snarled down at London and turned back to Eva, looking very uncomfortable and embarrassed. "I-It doesn't quite work like that."
"like i'd ever do that and let you kill the girl.you think im that dumb?" London said still faded pulling harder and kicking him
Zia watched the ghost attack the monster. She decided to help. Zia kicked Six right in the back as hard as she had ever kicked in her life (Not that she could remember anyway).
Six fell once, just barely catching himself. "You're all damned fools, that's what you are. I let her go, ghostie, see? I'm only doing my job..."
Eve looked down at Six, a tinge of sympathy stabbed her heart. She knew she would regret this sooner rather than later, but she held out her hand to Six, making sure he was steady.
Six grabbed it quickly, pulling himself to his feet. "Thanks human. You know, I think I could grow to like you, if you weren't always toying with me. Now don't tell the awful woman," he lowered his voice to a whisper. "But you can consider yourself safe from me."
"Toying with people is my speciality." Eve winked and ran a hand through her black hair. She whispered as well. "And thank you.."
Six frowned slightly. "But there's got to be something in it for me. I deeply apologize, but that's just how it works."
"I could stop kicking your ass." Eve smiled and then nudged him gently. There was something about this dark monster, that seemed all too human...
"Dead people still have pain," he grinned. "And memories."
((brb in fifteen minutes or so, hope you're still on then.))
((brb in fifteen minutes or so, hope you're still on then.))
"Don't pleasure in their pain." Eve sat on the stairs, she leaned back onto her elbows.((Yeah I'll be here lol))
((Last minute English Vocab. You better not be taking your procrastination from me... I ate another chocolate bar today...))
"I'm a monster, Eve, I take pleasure in everyone's pain."
"I'm a monster, Eve, I take pleasure in everyone's pain."
Eve leaned forward this time, she looked at him with her deep eyes. "Even mine? Would it pleasure you to tear me to shreads?" She whispered these words.
Six felt his heart go fast and he turned away blushing. This isn't what you are, Six. You're a monster, there is no happy ending. Show her. Tear her words out, rip that beautiful face to pieces. "...I don't know."
Eve nodded and sighed. "I understand, it's your instinct. Like mine right now is screaming at me to just take a step closer and snap your neck."
Six snarled, crouching back. "Knew it. No human is nice to a monster without a reason. Oh, I'll enjoy killing you."
"But Six, I won't act on it. I just can't... It like my head is saying one thing and my heart is saying another." Eve stood and reached out with a gentle and petite hand.
A manic gleam entered Six's eyes. He drove his claws quickly through Eve's hand, pinning it to the stair below. "Lies." He hissed. "Lies. Lies. Lies. Lies. Lies. Lies... All humans are the same."
A single tear slid down Eve's cheek as she tried to hold back the howl of pain. She wouldn't fight him, something in her wouldn't let her now. She wasn't reduced to pleading either, with her free hand she wiped away the tear. "I wanted to trust you..." She whispered, these words never had escaped her lips before, she didn't trust anyone.
Eve wanted so much to rip the claw from her hand, by now it had pierced all the way through and she was bleeding profusely. Her eyes fluttered momentarily from the pain and blood loss, but she didn't want to lose this person she had felt a hint of trust for. "Just please, do it quickly.." Eve's voice had finally reduced to the small shattered girl locked away. The one who was beaten and abused.
"I- I don't want..." He removed his claws and whispered in her ear. "Make it look like a fight."
((I'll be on pretty soon!))
((I'll be on pretty soon!))
Six nodded hastily, he certainly didn't want that. "We were simply making a deal. Would you rather have me kill her?"
Eve was sobbing now, she couldn't believe that she was about to die, she held her bleeding hand to her chest as she breaths became more shallow. Eve closed her eyes and prepared for the unknown. What if I don't come back? What if I never see him again..?
Eve couldn't focus now, her vision slowly losing it's luster. The blood loss was definitely getting to her. She was almost frightened by Six now, seeing just made her cringe with fear.
