Well people are comparing her to Reyna all the time but I don't think that's fair. We got to see inside Pipers mind and struggles but not with Reyna. We don't know how she really is, only through other peoples eyes. Remember how Percy is so downing himself but everyone else thinks he's awesome? Probably the same

Exactly we only see reyna from far. Besides piper is a pretty strong willed character.

yes she is awesome! she is brave, amazing, and she also has her soft side, which makes her more human. we dont want them all to be robots.

And I'm glad Piper is a character with a soft side, cuz we have too many of the Xena types, you know?
Annabeth, Thalia, Zoë...
In fact, Piper could also be a part of the warrior girl types. She's a tomboy.

I don't think Annabeth's that hard, she cried when she thought Percy was dead and showed weakness to Luke. Thalia and Zoë yep. Piper seems most like Annabeth to me, the book even said it itself. She could easily be a hero but breakdown a bit too, but in the end she comes through and fights through her fears.

Sheas really mean to Percy,hazel ,and frank in the son of Neptune also jasonand piper make a better couple

She was never mean to Frank or Hazel, she just wasn't really close with them. Shes their pratouer and all she ever did was remind them of the rules to keep order. Plus she had a reason to be a little mean to Percy. He destroyed her home but she forgave him in the end which shows she's willing to let go of a grudge. Plus we never saw her and Jason interact

I didn't really like Piper. She just seemed too... perfect. I know she has flaws, but even her imperfections seemed like perfections to me. I know many people like Piper, and like having a daughter of Aphrodite represented, but I think Rick Riordan could have done a better job with her. I dunno, he could have made her more girly? I mean seriously, a daughter of Aphrodite that doesn't really care about appearances?

That's what makes her special, she's not stuck up and snooty like others. She knows the true value of love not just make-up and clothes

Yeah I agree, but I think it would be cool to have a character that was a bit more girly, not as tomboy/tough. I just didn't connect with Piper as I did with Annabeth and Thalia. I don't really know, she isn't a horrible character, she just isn't my favorite.

Well... Hazel isn't exactly a tomboy so she could work. I understand about the Thalia, Annabeth thing. But hey we we first meant them they already knew this game but she's new. She literally found out right in that book.

Yeah, good point. It would be cool if someone like Silena (I don't know how to spell her name) or Drew could go on the quest. Well, maybe someone nicer than Drew...
