Katniss always treated her like such a baby, but I was her age when I read it so I think it's a little off.
I cried when she died. I was in public too.((My mom was reading it too btw))
Me: *crying*
Mom: Why are you crying?
Me: Prim-
Mom:SSSHHH YOU CAN'T TELL ME ANYTHING!!
Me: *Superfast and sniffly* Prim died cuz she caught on fire...
Mom:I SAID DON'T TELL ME ANYTHING!!!
Me:*Still crying*
Lol. When Katniss went crazy at the end I said to my mom: "the character in the book I'm reading is trying to kill herself!" my mom just looked at me funny. Then she read the books and loved them.
Aw you have a 5 yr old sister? Cute.
Considering I was 12 when I read the book, she seemed a little babyish to me

I'm an only child, too! I was twelve when I read them, but I think that maybe the reason she seemed so young was because maybe Suzanne Collins wanted to make Katniss a sort of motherly figure for her. Maybe she would have made her younger, but she needed to be called for the Reaping. Then again, she could have just made the minimum age younger...
Yeah,Prim seemed a lot younger than 12.It was kind of hard to belive considering 12-year-olds are a lot more independent than that.It seemed like Prim needed Katniss in every phase of her life.Too dependent.

Very good points.
Very good points.
Prim reminded me of my 5 year old sister. My sister has those blue eyes and the blonde hair. She's also not afraid of blood or pain or basically anything. But yet she is still dependent
