Once Upon a Time Sunday, 8pm, ABC Original Air Date: 11/06/2011 Season 1, Episode 3 “Snow Falls”

Recap/Review: Prince Charming and Snow White had met quite different than what we are use to hearing in the fairytales. Prince Charming was actually engaged to another a woman, a princess to be more exact, and was on his way to a kingdom when his carriage stopped because of a fallen tree in the road. As Prince Charming gets out to investigate what’s going on, someone jumps atop of the carriage and takes some prized jewels then steals one of the horses. Prince Charming goes after the thief and manages to knock the thief off of the horse. As he goes in to hit the thief, the hood falls back and he sees it’s actually a woman, Snow White. She smacks him in the head with a rock and takes off on the horse, smiling triumphantly back at him.
Back in our world, Margaret (a.k.a. Snow White) is on a date with a man who is more interested in the waitress with the barely there clothes. She grabs the check and heads out of there as fast as she can. She discovers Emma sitting inside of her car and finds out Emma has no where to stay since being kicked out of the bed and breakfast. Margaret offers Emma the spare room at her house but Emma declines. Meanwhile, Henry’s next step is reunite Snow White and Prince Charming or better known in our world as Margaret and the unconscious dude in the hospital who nobody knows. Emma agrees to help get Margaret to read to the unconscious Prince Charming. Margaret agrees if only to prove to Henry that fairytales aren’t real but Margaret gets the surprise of her life when Prince Charming places his hand on hers as she reads to him.
Maybe true love is real after all.
Important Events:
• Snow White and Prince Charming True Love story: Snow White is on the run from the Queen who has it out for her. Prince Charming finally manages to catch her, literally, by entrapping her in a net. He promises he won’t turn her over to the Queen if she helps him find his jewels, they are important to him, they belonged to his mother. Snow White agrees and gives the prince the name Charming making fun of him for be willing to catch a girl in a net and chase her down. They head out to retrieve Prince Charming’s jewels which Snow White had sold. Snow White pretends to be thirsty as they walk upon a river and as the Prince kneels down to get some water as well Snow White knees him in the stomach and throws him in the river. She takes off running into the forest and leaves Prince Charming to save himself. But she ends up running right into the Queen’s soldiers who are more than happy to rip out her heart to take back to the Queen.
Prince Charming recues Snow White and they head off into troll country to get back his jewels. But the trolls are not very nice and they don’t want to make a trade. They rather turn Snow White in and get the Queen’s reward. Snow White and Prince Charming fight their way through the trolls with Snow White saving the Prince’s life by turning the trolls into roaches thanks to a magic dust from fairies. They make it through the forest and go their separate ways.
• Prince Charming’s Name: Prince Charming finally reveals his real name to Snow White which is James. • Prince Charming Awakens: After Margret leaves the hospital, Prince Charming wakes up and heads into the forest. Emma, Sheriff and Margret head into the forest to find him. They find Prince Charming unconscious in the lake and pull him out. Margret starts giving him CPR and kisses him. Right on cue, Prince Charming wakes up. • Happily Ever After Gets crowded: As Margret and the others get Prince Charming back to the hospital, a woman runs into the room, frantic and calling his name. Regina claims the woman is his wife. The woman looks awfully like the woman Prince Charming had been engaged to in the previous life. • Emma and Margret Become Roommates: Emma thinks it’s a bit fishy that Regina has been Prince Charming or as he is known in our world as David Nolan’s emergency contact all the time he was in a coma and she only just found out about his so called wife. Regina tells her she had looked at past tapes and had heard David yelling for a Katherine and she put two and two together to find his wife. Emma isn’t quite buying it but leaves the subject alone for the time being. Regina tells her the worse thing is being alone and she is grateful to have Henry. Emma decides she’s right and heads to Emma’s place to take her up on her offer.
Favorite Moment/Scene/Revelation/Character I like when Prince Charming catches Snow White in a net. I like the banter between the two and how strong Snow White is. I like that Snow White isn’t afraid of going up against trolls or soldiers or standing up for herself.
