How Come???
Look, hon, if you're really that curious, go read our other posts, because it's kind of hard to sum up at one time, in one post, with one person.
*ahem*
I Chandani Smith, former Twi-hard and a Tilight Obsessive Idiotic Mitosis, survivor hereby declare my reasons for Hating twilight:
1) The characters are Whiny stupid and unrealistic.
2) My eight year old sister could have written a better ending for Breaking Dawn
3) Bella is a rapist, Edward is Overly-over protective.
4) Sm has obviously run out of adjectives and continues to use the same ones.
5) They suck.
6) After suffering from TOIM i realized how many of my brain cells had been lost. It took me sevral good books in order to retain these cells.
7) You should check out TA.
8) Why do you LIKE twilight?
9) Why did you even join this group?
10) would you be willing to leave?

To Chandani--That list thing wasnt very nice. If you want to tell a person why you dont like a series of books try and do it in a nicer manner, she just asked a simple question. Things like that are why people get mad at groups like this.To HollyBerry--I dont hate Twilight but i do have to agree with some of the views in this group. The story in general is a little unrealistic. and Bella's characrer (in my opinion) went down hill in the second book. The sereies is OKAY but it could have been a lot better. So theres your answer to why I dont like Twilight as much as i used to.
To Adele - no, hon, the reason people get mad in groups is because other people have to come in and stick their holier-than-thou noses in everything we say, and then be all...well...holier-than-thou about it.
lol yes I understand that and for the most part I agrre with the whole "holier-than-thou" part but instead of saying mean things just ingore them or state your part and leave dont be ugly about it. . . . .hmmm i just think that people could be nicer and that some need to learn to just not care (aka: People who Love Twilight)But its all a learning experience, we live and we grow.
Adele, that's slightly naive of you. Twilight lovers who come here generally don't care to be "enlightened". They come here mostly to question the sanity and/or intelligence of anyone who doesn't like their FAVORITE BOOKS EVA. That tends to wear away at someone's patience. I'm lucky in that when I'm being rude and insulting I'm also using sarcasm rather heavily, so it's usually goes undetected. >_> Considering that many such Twilight fans don't even seem capable of using punctuation and caps properly, it shouldn't be too surprising.
Phantompickles(I just love that name hehe) Call me naive if you want, truthfuly thats one of the nicest things someones called me so eh. And as a 18 yr old I dont mind being a little naive. I understand that they get mad and look down thier noses at us but if we just ingonre them instead, then life would be so much easier. Just think if you ingore a post instead of replying to it then there'd be no fights and no hurt feelings. Yes I know that they cant spell but think of the age group Twilight (I mean the 1st book only) is drawing in. Its younger teens who at this point in thier lives have no opion of thier own. They just follow the crowd. They dont think for themselve and when someone tries to engage them in a smart converstaion they become deffencive. Its in thier nature. But i still feel that if we all just were nice to each other life would be so much more fun.
Adele i really dont care if it was nice or not. I was insulting a Book Not you, not your family or anything with any remote relation to you. I was insulting a horrible written story.
Why do you seem so offended??
Why do you seem so offended??
Chandani I'm not offended. You can be insultimg a book and still seem like your insulting a person. I feel like if your going to give your opoion of soemthing you can do it in a nice way, thats all that i was saying.
Lol Rosie.
Ok heres my nicer way of saying that those books are by far the worst excuse for literature since the cat and the hat, which in fact was more poetic.
I-personally-enjoy reading qualified literature such as Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, and other various writers, did not enjoy reading the Twilight series. I strongly felt that the books were a stinking sack of crap--uh, i mean not very good. I would like to give a little bit of constructive critiquing to Stephenie Meyer, there is a wonderful book that i have just found called a Thesaurus. It is filled with words that you can use to describe your characters.
I am terrible sorry if i have offended any Twi-hards with my comment.
*snicker*

lol ah see now was that so hard to do.....rofl. A nicer way to put it and very funny. I'm so sorry if I seemed mean in anyway. So forgive me, when others say harsh things to people i get a little carried away. Even when i shouldnt. I love the cat in the hat, it makes me happy. I've never read any Mark Twain but Charlotte Bronte is one of my favorite writers oh and Ted Dekker to. If you havent read his books you need to.
Jane Eryre is my favorite. I just started Wuthering Heights, i dont know if i like it or not yet. You gotta read Dekkers Circle trilogy. Its really good.
Hmm amasing, and even after I had apologised for being rude when I was in the wrong. I'm so terribly sorry for insulting you Rose but you see I know that the world isnt a nice place, dont even get me started. Also I know that I have spelling mistakes, I love to write and read but that doesnt mean that I'm the worlds best. So please forgive me.
Also other then my age I didnt put a specific age on the young teens, and I wasnt putting all of you in one basket. Teens mature differently. I was putting all of the immatue teens in one basket.
So sorry to have insulted you Rose, so terribly terribly sorry.
Andani:Dickens? Really? *shrugs* As they say, de gustibus non est disputandum.
If we're talking classical literature, I actually really liked The Scarlet Letter, by Nathaniel Hawethorne. Yes, that Nathaniel Hawethorne. He's just so obsessed with sin and damnation, it tickles my sadistic sense of humor. (The Puritans had issues, man.)
The thing about classical literature, especially from Hawethorne/Melville's era, is that very long-winded sentences were in vogue back then. Page-long paragraphs, multiple semicolons, blatant abuse of the comma, the whole spiel. It's hard for someone to get used to it.
I would never put you in the "Immature teens that read twilight" basket. That would be very rude of me. But like I said all teens mature differtly so its okay.I dont like being insulted just like other people which is why i lashed out. The main thing about matureing is finding out that you can hold back your emotions and that everyone has thier own opoion of something. Life is a learning experiance.

Dont go and live in Vegas plp. I did for about a year and I didnt like it at all. and plus the reason why we had to leave is because my stepdad went and spent all of our money on gambaling. I was born in Dallas if that counts for a big city person lol
Haha, I was born in Vegas (and lived there fora while), moved to Illinois (around Chicago), then moved just north of Seattle, and now I live in Utah!
I went to vegas when I was 7 or something for my uncle's wedding. It wasn't all that great. except the hotel was REALLY nice, REALLY nice.

I love the whole love story. It is full of action, suspense, and romance. I think edward and bella are amazing and the plots are so creative so i wanted to know why you guys hate it?
