While reading Touch of Power I noticed a lot of the characters in the new series remind me of the ones from her old series.

The similarities I found:
Belen (Healer series) reminded me a lot of Ari (Study and Glass series). Belen and Ari are both protective teddy-bears you don't want to mess with!

And I saw a lot of Janco's (Study and Glass series) unconditional love and devotion in Flea(Healer series). And both of them seem to never be short of energy.

And also Avry(Healer series) has a lot of both Yelena(Study and Glass series) and Opal(Study and Glass series). For me Opal resembles the soft and innocent side of Avry, while Yelena resembles the side of Avry that makes her act before she thinks. The side that makes her put the need of others before her own.

While I pointed all of this out in my ToP review MVS commented: "About Belen - I just can't stay away from that character type - you'll find him in all my novels - Ari, Nix, Cogon, and Belen are all really brothers in another secret universe."

So now the discussion question:
What similarities did you find between the different characters?

(I know it's a little late, like three years late, but I really want to say something about this topic so here I am!)

Iv always thought of Ari and Janco in the study series being the same as the monkeys in the healer series with all their pranks and stuff.

And I love that part about Belen and Ari being the 'protective teddy-bears'!

I admit I have found one major similarity with all of the characters (barring a certain few):

I love them all. Yeah they remind me of each other a bit, but at the same time they are different and the way they interact with the groups is slightly different.

Another big simularity: they get kidnapped A LOT! All of them!;)

Its because they are so awesome. Everyone wants a piece of them :P

I like the idea that the same... essence of a character shows up in different worlds. Meaning, no matter what world your in, your going to find that well loved character.

Youre right. They are all kinda similar but they are also very unique. Avry for example always 'runs into a situation and hopes for the best' whereas Opal makes up a plan and works it out in her head before running into the situation. Yelena and avry are really similar in that way.
