I like the Kay Hooper series about psychic detectives-she's written several trilogies about the FBI profilng and behavorial unit made up of only people who are not only FBI trained-but they all have their special talents--they are really good!~!
Ooohh - that sounds really good! I don't think I've ever heard of that series, but I'm going to find it. I like series that use intellect to cross the boundary from "could happen" to "reality". One of my favorites is the Riley Jensen series from Keri Arthur - it takes place in Australia, but focuses on Riley (half vamp/half were) and her journey on becoming a guardian. Arthur's a brilliant writer and I love her work.
Well, its sort of a conversation about our favorite urban fantasy series - tips on worldbuilding, etc. Its sort of just getting underway! Hope you can join us! Do you have a favorite series?

Carole, I'm going to have to check those two series out! They sound awesome. BTW - I'm super excited about this article that just came out on my series! http://www.examiner.com/paranormal-li...
Wow - that sounds pretty cool. I love how authors are doing so many eclectic mixes with traditional characters. I'll have to put that on my TBR list as well. :)

Still am looking forward to getting a copy of your book--did we talk about you sending me one when you can? Still planning on getting a Kindle--was hoping for my birthday in Feb but that's a maybe at this point!!

Love the concept of a runt! I will definitely be adding to my TBR list (which is growing a lot faster than I keep up with)!

You should give urban fantasy a try! Interestingly enough, I had never r before Twilight because all my life, I had a deathly fear of vampires. So, I always stayed away from the genre. I have Meyer to thank for getting me over my fear with her sparkling, vegetarian vampire concept. That made me branch out into other series and ive been hooked ever since.
And now, here I am, the author of a series on preternatural crestures! Who would've thunk it? Lol!
