!Spoilers!1. What do you like about this specific paranormal theme? Was is portrayed well by this author? I actually really liked the theme, the summary sounded great and the way the author explained the mythology about vampires, angels, and succubi was really neat.
2. What was different about the characters? World? Setting? That made the story unique. I liked the mythology of the world in general and the characteristics of the each of the beings.
3. If this is book 1 are you planning on continuing the series? NO. I could not stand the main protagonist, all she did was whine and cry about her situation, look down on her only succubus friend for being a porn star, And after she was warned specifically not to do things went ahead and did them anyway and then ask why everyone was so mad at her. The only thing that redeemed the book in my eyes were the sex scenes but with about 3 they were few and far between.
4. If this is your first time reading this author. What did you like or dislike about their writing style. She writes good sex scenes but on the whole could have been written better.
5. How does this book compare to other PNR books you have read recently, with a similar theme? I've read most of Larissa Ione's demonica series and even though you could see the similarities in the plot, they still had characters that were interesting enough for me to continue to read the series, I cannot say the same for this book.
6.Does realism play a part in reading a paranormal book? If the character is a fictional being does it help if the history seems accurate. All myths have a birth in fact. Ummm... ish, I think it depends on what we all are willing to believe (which is probably a lot seeing as what type of fiction it is) in Paranormal fiction, but if it is historical or does have careers that I know about I would like the book to at least have integrity to that.
7.In the end what was the best part? Sex scenes and Zane, I give this book 1 star and I would not read it again or any of the sequels.
