Read the article "Bug Bites" in your text set. Cool, right?! Ant Tacos! If you would rather do a posting about another article ("Navajo Code Talkers," "A Separate Peace?" "The New Face of America," or "IPod Turns Ten"), that's fine with me.

In your post, identify the genre, purpose, central idea, supporting ideas, and evidence. Remember, it may be wise to look at the supporting ideas before committing to a central idea!

Consider structuring it like so:

1.) Genre:
2.) Purpose:

3.) CI:

4.) Supporting Idea #1
a.)
b.)
c.)

Etcetera.

message 22: by Olivia (new)

Olivia | 10 comments I choose to read the article "Bug Bites" in the text set. I found it very gross, but I have heard many storied about how people in other countries eat bugs and they are also a very important part of their food groups, so this article did not surprise me much. For a little anecdote, in Fire Island where I spend my summers, there is a candy store called Ice Castle and for many years they have been selling chocolate- covered crickets. When you buy one, you get a pin that says that you are apart of the "I ate a bug club" and as you eat the cricket they take a picture of you and it goes up on a bullitin board in the store. I have been going to Fire Island my whole life and my picture is up on the wall about five times, because I have eaten around five chocolate-covered crickets. It's not that bad though, it tastes sort of like a crunch bar or a twix bar.

b.) Because there was a successful iTunes Store, music got paid for instead of being stolen online. So the music industry got better.
c.) People got used to listening to music on a tiny machine that could hold a lot of music, a phone that could hold music got very popular. This is the iPhone.
