Good campaign, Nina. Haha. :) Now I feel pressured to come up with something awesome. Um...Well, first of all I am honored to be nominated. Woohoo. I love this group and it would be wonderful to be a mod.
Now, some reasons why I think y'all should consider voting for me:
1. Obviously, I'm a big contributor to the group. I've been in the group pretty much from the very beginning, and I'm a frequent commenter. I've participated in all the debates, etc.
2. I consider myself to be a very respectful person and debater. I may disagree with some people's views, but I try my hardest to see from everyone else's perspectives. I fully understand that each individual has his/her own opinion and I respect that. I do have strong opinions, but I stay open-minded.
3. I take this group very seriously. When it comes to getting my point across, I try to write as formally and clearly as I can. This isn't a group where I casually throw comments around. I carefully think out what I'm going to say and how I'm going to say it.
4. Like Nina, I've also been the mod in a lot of groups so I have experience when it comes to organizing and running groups. Nearly all the groups I've started are still running. In fact, I'm a founder and moderator of one of the biggest writing groups on Goodreads (Writers Who Are Children) which has more than 1000 members and has been running smoothly for several years. So, I'm good at keeping things up and running.
5. I think this group could use a couple more mods who will be willing to keep up, especially with the requests for debates. Sometimes requests for topics don't get noticed for a few days, and I would hope to try and start up topics as quickly as possible. There are also a lot of ideas for discussions I'd like to start on my own. Since I check Goodreads every day, keeping up with topics and organizing them shouldn't be a problem for me.
In case you didn't feel like reading all that ... Basically, I'm quite serious about this group and I'm a frequent participant. As a moderator, I would promote respect and toleration, and I would stay organized and on top of things. Thanks for any votes! And good luck to the other nominees! :)

It is going to be so hard for me to vote... Brigid I didn't realize you founded the Writers Who Are Children group, that one's huge and actually well known on Goodreads.

I wasn't the person who created the group, but the original creator left and put the group in my hands. And then I was the one who started inviting people, creating topics, getting organized, etc. And that's when the group started getting really popular. So ... yay me!
Though this should be common sense don't vote for yourself if you're one of the four nominees, I trust you but just as a reminder.
Hmm though no one can see the poll results but me I'll say this, everyone has at least one vote. I'm saying nothing more.
CONGRATULATIONS ALEPH AND BRIGID!! YOU TWO ARE NOW MODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
((Sorry I didn't do this yesterday I was busy.))

The nominees (all chosen by me based on number of comments and quality of comments, yeah this may be somewhat biased deal with it) are!
Mello!
Aleph!
Brigid *Flying Kick-a-pow!*!
Nina!
So two of you will get the status of moderator, and if you really want to you may campaign here. Good luck.
(If you do not want to be a mod inform me and I'll remove you from the list.)
The poll will be put up Sunday.
