At last, Emma reached the Astronomy Tower. She had climbed up all 349 steps to get there, and now she was finally there. Emma breathed deeply, picking up the scent of freshly cut grass, one of her personal favourites. The night sky was lit by a bright full moon and a sky full of stars. Emma found herself mesmerised by the shining stars above her.

Shane walked in the room, hand in hand with Kate. "Ahh, now this is peaceful." he smiled at her.
"Hi," Emma said, glancing in their direction.
Shane turned his head in Emmas direction, and smiled, waving politely. "Hello" he said, wondering if she was one of Kate's friends.
Kate smiled, she had known Emma from a few of her other classes but never really spoke to her. ''Hey'' she waved, leaning Shane on wards near a hole in the tower where a window should be.
He smiled and walked with Kate, still holding her hand, hoping she didn't notice that he was sweating nervously. If only he had the charm of his brother!
"So, miss Kate. Do you spend a lot of time up here?" he asked her, looking out the window, wondering how many feet from the ground they were.
"So, miss Kate. Do you spend a lot of time up here?" he asked her, looking out the window, wondering how many feet from the ground they were.
''No not really'' she shrugged hoping he wouldn't notice how much she was sweating, she thanked the wind mentally as a cool gust of wind swept between them both. She stared up at the sky through the winter and gazed at the stars ''It's beautiful up here, it's a shame it's taken me this long to find it'' she smiled, now looking towards the moon.
"Yes, it is very pretty! I love the moon." he smiled, breathing in the fresh air. "Oh no. Look, I see my brother." he chuckled and stuck his arm out of the window, pointing toward two dark figures stand very close together. "Womanizer." he said.
She giggled and looked over in the distance to the two figures ''He's very handsome!'' she paused ''Like his brother'' she giggled more and blushed. She pulled her hand away and wiped it on her dress ''It's so warm!'' she lied, she had goosebumps planted all along her slender arms.
"Really? I'm quite all right, in this breeze." he smiled. "Thank you...." he blushed so deep, that even the tips of his ears went red, and te turned his head nonchalantly, so she wouldn't see.
"Your very beautiful too. Much more so than the night sky." he said, wondering if that was alright, or if he sounded stupid. He blush grew even deeper.
"Your very beautiful too. Much more so than the night sky." he said, wondering if that was alright, or if he sounded stupid. He blush grew even deeper.
She smiled, happiness grew inside of her and she looked towards the night sky. ''It's easier to be prettier than pitch black'' she joked, looking out into the forest, wondering what could be out there..
"Yes, it is I suppose... But not so easy to outshine the stars and moon." he countered, gaining some confidence. "I have a friend who want to be an astronomer. He this the stars are just the best things."
Her face was in awe, she stared up at Shane listening to him intently. ''It's a full moon tonight'' she whispered happily.. ''wait..'' her eyes widened full moon.. she thought why do I feel so worried about it being a full moon? Then her realization hit her harder than a tonne of bricks ''You're a were-wolf and it's-'' she paused, frozen with panic.
He laughed. "No no. It doesn't work like that for me. I'm not exactly a werewolf." he smiled, taking her hand to comfort her. "I'm an animagus, who has the form of a wolf. I won't hurt you." he walked closer to her, trying to get the terror off of her face.
She breathed a sigh of relief and used the side of the balcony to steady her balance and her other hand to balance it on his arm. ''Thank goodness!'' she laughed softly, staring up at his dark eyes.
He chuckled, low in his throat, and hoped she wouldn't pass out. He smiled, and licked his lips, looking down at her. He realized how close he was to her, and blushed. "Miss Kate? May I kiss you goodnight?" he asked her politely.
Her laugh faded but her smile remained, if not grew bigger. She nodded her head and dare not say a word in fear that she would sound strange in her state of relief yet warmth at his suggestion.
He sighed, and leaned forward, meeting her lips with his. Her lips were so soft and warm, he cupped her cheek with his hand, pulling her face upward gently. He wasn't sure if he was doing this right, but judging by the tingled shooting through him, he was just fine.
After a few moments he broke the kiss, he straightened up, and looked at her.
After a few moments he broke the kiss, he straightened up, and looked at her.
She was left breathless after their kiss, she hadn't kissed anyone before and this felt amazing. ''That was the most perfect.. perfect first kiss'' she whispered, she touched her lips where he had kissed her and she smiled up at him.
He couldn't believe she had never been kissed before, but he smiled. "Yes, miss Kate, it was." he took her hand again. "And this has been the most perfect night. I hope to see you again." he glanced from her to the moon, feeling it calling him.
Just because the moon didn't force him to shift, it always sang it's luring song, iching him to sneak into the forest, and run with his wolf.

She smiled ''Yes, the most perfect night..'' she repeated, watching his glance to the moon every so often. She cocked her head to one side as he did so ''What's wrong?'' she whispered, having a hunch that it was something to do with his were-wolf self..
"Oh nothings wrong. The moon is just a little luring when it's full, that's all." he said, not wanting to worry her again. "Do you mind if we call the night short, Miss Kate? I'd love to let it never end, but..." he trailed off, watching the moon again.
She looked up towards the moon ''I don't mind at all'' she whispered, she was still smiling ''Anytime'' she curtsied and looked up at him, she leaned forward and kissed his cheek then turned on her heel back down the astronomy tower stairs, understanding that he needed to let himself go as a wolf.
He watched her go and sighed... He could have walked her, but he let her go, his cheek tingling from her breathe. He smiled, and called a sweet goodbye, waiting a few minutes, and walking down the tower, so he could run in the forest.
Once he got there, a small houl ran through him, and he trotted deeper into the foliage.

A shiny, long piece of parchment hangs on the wall, blowing in the slight breeze from a nearby window. It looks very attention catching.

River had no clue why she came up here. She just started walking. Said thank you to the false concerns. She knew they where ridiculing her behind her back. It didn't bother her. She didn't care. She wanted companionship, but didn't really want to be with Haden. She didn't know why. She felt for him deeply, but with concern, she didn't want to be with him right now. She didn't know quite what she wanted.
River lied back on a couch, and looked at the stars.
James walked a bit unsteady up to the astromony tower knowing that at this time, no one would be there. At least not any class was taking place.
Sighing, he opened the door to reveal a large, round room, only lit by the night sky dazzling it's stars through the ceiling that wasn't there. Instead a form of glass took up the space, distracting James from walking straight, so he just stopped and stared up through the roof, thankful to Merlin for the quiet he was now consumed in.
Things had been so busy, and he was so tired... And drunk, but he already feel the affects fleeting.
He lost his girlfriend, and then gained her back a few weeks later when he was worried sick. But now she was back, and the dance had gone like they usually do, and now he was stressed. So much school. So much work. So much...
He finally looked down and surveyed the room closely, seeing a darkheaded girl lying on a couch. Thinking she was asleep, he walked over to her as quiet as he could be, even though his head was swimming in Firewiskey.
"River?" He asked, realizing that it was her, and grinning just a tad.

River screamed when James sneaked up on her. "Oh my Gosh! James! You scared the crap outta me! Why can I never close my eyes without somebody sneaking up on me! Gosh. Now, Hi." She said, sitting up.
Then she smelled the Firewiskey on his breath.
"Oh Gosh James, how much have you been drinking. Come here, sit." She said, pulling him down on the other side of the couch.
He sat down and leaned his head back on the couch while laughing quietly. "I didn't mean to scare you. I was just exploring... Oh, not alot! Just abot a bit, and it's fading..." He said, regretfully, wishing he could stay in 'the floaty mode' for just a while longer. "What are you doing up here anyway? It's kind of dark and lonely." He said, looking over to her, liking the way her hair seemed to be blue from the night skys light shining on it.
She was surprised. He didn't seem as if he knew. "Uh, I just got out of St. Mungos. I'm not so sure why I came up here. It seemed quite, very out of the way. Just what I kind of needed. I'm happy your here though." She said.
River noticed the shape of his jaw, and his face. He was beautiful. And his eyes. The way the light bounced off of them. Beautiful. His lips, his chest, him. She didn't know why, but she was taking in every inch of him. Haden was nowhere. Sight nor mind. James had filled her thoughts.
He looked back to the sky as she spoke, but turned his head again, surveying her closely. "You were at Mungos? That must have been tragic... Would you like to tell me what happened for you to land a spot there?" He asked, pulling his legs up on the couch and turning himself so he was facing her.
His firewhiskey had worn almost compltely off and all he felt was a slight tingle in his head. He couldn't be certain that it was from the drink though... So much had gotten to him lately, and he was getting worn out, having to maintain everything.
Noticing a certain look in River's eyes, he looked more deeply, trying to find a meaning, but none was discovered. Instead he only waited for her to answer him as he watched.

River looked down to her lap, questioning telling him. She had to. They where friends after all.
"Well, you look sober, so I'll tell you. I snapped and tried to kill myself. But Daniel saved me. He's a gay Doctor at St. Mungos. Hes a real sweetheart." She explained. She felt an overwhelming sadness. She knocked James' legs to the floor, and lied her head across them. "I don't even know why I snapped. Or what happened to cause it. Hell, I don't very well know what even happened." She said, tears strolling from her eyes.
James was surpirsed as sh stretched across him, and put a hand on her hair, stroking it gently to calm her down as she cried and spoke her concerns to him. "I'm sorry, River. Please don't cry. I can't stand it when people cry." He said softly, raising her up, and moving himself so he was lying beside her, face to face. "He saved you though, and now everything is okay, I promise." His eyes searched Rivers and he smiled comfortingly, still stroking her hair with a gentleness that flowed from him effortlessly.
He leaned forward slowly, and kissed her cheek, in an atempted friendly manner.
He leaned forward slowly, and kissed her cheek, in an atempted friendly manner.
River shockingly watched he moved so they where next to each other. Very close. "I know. I just...I don't wanna hurt somebody, or myself." She said, trying to make herself stop crying.
River felt the warmness of his lips on her face, and felt a warmness through her. The kiss felt like passion, like he really wanted her lips. River sat up just a little bit, and kissed him. Not knowing anything else but the warmness of his lips, or the feel of his hair has her hands moved up into it.
Surprised, James gasped through his nose, and leaned back the tiniiest bit, but Rivers kiss nearly had him locked in place. Soon, his eyes closed and the tension faded from his shoulders, and he lened into her, loving the way she ran her fingers through his hair like that, and loving the taste of her lips.
"James! Lily! You have to remember Lily! Please remember Lily." his mind pleaded with him. But he just didn't obey. River was the only thing on his mind, and he had no idea why. He had only met her once, but here in the dark tower, he liked the way she pressed up against him and made him feel dangerous and charming again.

River unbuttoned her shirt, and threw it from her body still locked in the kiss with James. She loved his muscled body, and the way he tilted his head. The taste of his lips and the feel of his body made her mind melt. She loved the dangerous feeling he gave her. The spark he created inside. She loved feeling like this guy wants her. Not that he wants, and once wanted, the entire women gender at Hogwarts. She felt wanted, and warm. River kicked her shoes off, and went for her bra, but felt she'd let him decide when to take it off. She put her hand back around his neck, and sometimes sliding back into his soft, lovely hair.
He could not believe he was doing this, but he felt himself smiling as she moved around, taking her shirt off and letting her bare skin show just how bad his actions were being. But he didn't notice... He didn't care. This was finally his release. He had been so dragged down, and she was making every single shread of stress wash away effortlessly. She was dangerous and somewhat forbidden, but he felt that he liked that.
Still kissing her, he lifted himself up and came to be straddling her, holding his wieght carefully so he was sure not to be too heavy on her small body. He kissed her more passionately and let his hands explore what space of skin that they could. The bra was a bother though, and he reached behind her, undoing it with an expert hand, and grinning as it came loose. Running his hand from the back of her shoulder up to her collarbone, and finally stopping at her cheek, he leaned down and kissed her again before going to work on his own clothes.

River smiled in relief as, like he had read her thoughts, her breasts became bare. She moaned as he ran his hands on her bare skin. She helped him rid is shirt, and them she finally slipped out of her pants. Almost naked she blushed at the sight of him undressing. She decided to take control. River sat up, putting both hands of James' shoulders, pushed him back, so she was now straddling him. She ran a single fingernail down his chest before meeting he lips again, with passion and fury.
James was at her mercy now, and he enjoyed that fact a lot. The buzz that was shooting through his at lights speed wasn't the drink, but purely River and he grinned mischiously as she ran her hand down his chest, sending little sprks though him, and causing goosebumps to rise on his arms and legs.
He finished undressing all while kissing River just as fierce as he had kissd any other girl, and looked over her body, content.
Merlin, she made him feel alive. When he fell in with Lily, he swore up and down that he loved her, but she didn't make him feel like he was used to feeling. Pursuing the girls no one else could get made him feel good. Doing what he was doing right now with those girls made him feel amazing, and he closed his eyes as everything but River floated away from him.

-Morning-River awoke, naked, pressed against James. A sheet covered the two of them. River sat up, pulling some of the sheet with her.
*Oh no. I..we...Oh what the hell! I'm do not regret this. It may lead to a fight between me and Haden, but I don't regret a thing about last night.* She thought to herself, smiling, feeling good that she took a chance and was dangerous.
She decided to make another dangerous call as she placed the cover back where it was, and did something she never thought of doing.
That was for sure to wake him up.
Peaceful dreams floated around in James' head until he felt something... He came awake with a start and looked down, wide-eyed. "Whoa whoa! Good morn..." Everything came flooding back to him, and he sat up, gently bringing river up too, not in perference to what she was doing. "Oh my Merlin... I slept with you." He said, looking at her, and then taking the sheet, wraping it around her, something that made her look like an angel. "River I'm sorry..."
River sat up, and looked at James. "Don't be sorry. I kissed you. But...I don't regret it. It meant a lot to me. It meant a lot to feel like you really did want me...not that you just wanted me because nobody else would sleep with you." She said, looking down at herself. "James...I don't want this to be awkward, or bring something between us. It was passion that over took us. I have a feeling we both needed it though. And...well...thank you." She said, wiping a tear from her eye and rubbing his arm.
Biting his lip, James looked over at her, and grinned halfheartedly. "It won't get between us, River..." He said, not adding that he was only concerned about Haden and Lily.
"It was kind of amazing to be honest. And you're beautiful, so I don't doubt more than one guy wants you." He said smiling and getting dressed.
Once he was finished, he kissed River quickly on the lips, and looked at her. "Thank you." He said before waving goodbye and leaving the room.

River was glad he said that and smiled big. "It was amazing. Everything I wanted, needed and more."
River's smile grew when he quickly kissed her lips. She felt his lips long after he was gone. "Thank you, James." She whispered to the room.
*Now I have to face Haden.* She said, dressing, grabbing her bag, and walking out of the room, smiling and confident.
"You. Josie said smiling, then turned to look at the sky. "Now I see a cloud shape like a hippogriff over there."
Jasper blushed. He turned his attention back to the sky.
"I see a a whole lot of candyfloss on a stick..." he said.
