Barren sat on the edge of the metal tub filled with ice cold water. "Again? Forever. Never. Again." He makes a fist, with his index finger and thumb sticking out to make a gun, and points it at his head. "Bang. Revive. Die. Stay."
"Who, where what when. Running around like a headless hen." Barren sang without emotion, sliding down to the ground. "Pick a number, choose your only choice."
She understood, so Barren didn't see any reason to say anything, and just stood there looking down at her with eyes that had no pupils.
((Oh my goodness.))Barren blinked, but the emotion faded before forming. "You get to leave." He turned and went back to his perch on the wired tub.
Barren looked up past the girl to look at Tobe. He tilted his head a little to the left and watched him come into the dimly lit room.
Barren disappeared, and reappeared between Tobe and the door, pushing it closed. "Going. Going. Going." He advanced on Tobe. "Going. Going. Going."
"Stay. Stay. Stay." Barren quickly reached out a hand and grabbed Tobe's left shoulder, taking a fistful of his shirt. "Going. Going. Going. Gone." He pushed him back against a metal table, that was slightly slanted.
"Let go of me! What are you doing?" Tobe battled the panic weakly, trying hard to keep his voice steady. It definitely didn't work.
Barren raised his arm and pressed it into Tobe's neck, forcing him back onto the table. He was silent now, as he started to try to strap Tobe down.
Barren strapped Tobe's wrists, ankles, waist, and neck to the table. "Fun fun fun." He chanted, with no hint of "funness" in his voice. He fixed something over Tobe's head, right over his forehead, and it started dripping water, slowly, in a rhythm. One. Two. Three... Barren sat on the table beside Tobe. "Five minutes annoyance. Ten minutes frustration. Twenty minutes pain. Past that insanity."
"St-Stop that..." Tobe seemed transfixed. He couldn't see the water, just felt it's cold monotonous rhythm. It was an itch he couldn't scratch. He did not like it at all. "Stop that, I said."
((Happy valentines!!!!! :D... goodness. I just came back from CG and I almost puked... had too much chocolate.. :P))
Barren, so as not to interrupt, stepped away and stood behind Tobe where the human couldn't see him, and simply stared down at his face. No emotion, no reaction, just watching, and preforming his duty.
Tobe tried to focus on the filmy light from the ceiling, but once again the darkness ate at his vision and swayed his world. Soon all that was left was that tapping. And it wouldn't. Go. Away. A quiet smile spread across his lips. There's no hope, so why not have fun? Have fun, it doesn't last long.
"How long are you going to keep me here?" Tobe tried to tilt his head back but the restraints held him back. "I think your waterfall faucet is leaking and it keeps going tap tap and I don't- don't- tap... tap..."
Barren, being used to waiting, was ready to stand there for hours. It sometimes only took half an hour for people to start freaking out, but for others it took two hours before they began to scream and become scared. (mythbusters couldn't bust this myth of the Chinese water torture... it was creepy to watch that episode. :P)
((Eesh, that sounds awful. Tobe is one of those people who laughs and dances when he's losing it, it's a sort of way of hiding his fear.))
Tobe gritted his teeth. "I. Am. Going. To. Have. Fun." Each word was punctuated by another drop of water.
Tobe gritted his teeth. "I. Am. Going. To. Have. Fun." Each word was punctuated by another drop of water.
((Oh sad... :P Poor Tobe. I almost feel bad for him... Even so... I'M CHEERING HIM ON!! Whoo!))Barren, ever so slightly, every so briefly, raised a brow at these words. His eyes watched the pool of water on the human's forehead, as it dripped down into his hair and face. It wasn't red, but it was probably numb by now. Barren knew. Other than anything that was just said that could be thought of as a reaction, Barren didn't move from his vigil.
"Help. Help. Join. Join." Barren sang emotionlessly. He looked at Scarecrow, not moving yet. "Sit on the rack beside Fun." He motioned to 'Fun', Toby.
"Um,no. I'm not some human and I'm not a play thing for you to toy with." A huge smile grew on his face. "Give me a blade and I'll show you real fun."
"Damn it." Tobe felt the hope quickly disappear. Why is everyone here a monster? He spaced out again, feeling the tapping of water like a needle on his forehead.
Scarecrow turned to Tobe. "Why do you let them do this to you and why are you so alone here?" he then turned back to Barren knowing this would make him look weak. "Fine im do it" He went over to where Tobe was and took his sit next to him.
"Hey you tell me what you know other then hat there monster and kill humans for fun." he said looking at Tobe
"I don't know anything." Tobe's face was consumed with misery. "I don't remember anything, and I don't think I'm learning anything new."
"Can't." Barren went up to the new comer. "One." He lifted a finger. "No leaving. Two." Another finger. "Die, and live again. Three. Scream or make scream." He suddenly shoot his arm out to grab the machine above Tobe's head, turning it upside down, and there was a long, skinny needle on it. He plunged it down into Tobe's skull, right where the water had been hitting. "Sad. Barren wanted so much to see your insanity." No emotion came through his voice as he spoke, though. He looked at the new person. "Name?"

Like much of the house, there are no windows. No garage door, or maybe it's just hidden. There is a long, thin stretch of light that flickers now and then along the center of the ceiling though. Green, yellowish light that some would say reflects nicely off the red that coats nearly everything.
A few wooden planks with some type of tube hanging over where the head would lay, a short, two foot deep metal bathtub with wires attached to it, a primeval fire-pit fully equipped with a spit to tie your prisoner to, and a few other tidbits of joy.
Make your last words loud. They can echo in here.
