Am hoping to start this soon, and based on reviews it seems as if the consensus is that the television series (which I'm a huge fan of) is better. Also, that the book is very different. Where there seems to be some disagreement, is on how good it is. I'm wondering how much bias plays into it? In general, do people who have seen the show first have a tough time getting into it?
I guess what I'm asking, has anyone read this book who hasn't seen the show (or at least saw the show AFTER reading the book)? I'm curious what people think of the book if they completely disassociate it with the show.
This is the only book with a storyline in common with TV series. Personally I like both books and TV storylines, and I'm glad they're so different 'cause I don't like talking about the quality of TV adaptation.
i read the books first and really enjoyed them. i wouldnt watch the show until i was caught up with the book bc i tought it would follow the same story line, i liked the books and it kicks off right away.... and yeah like luigi said the series is different, only the first season is similar.
