A book thatis very similar to THG is called The Quillan Games
It is 7th in the Pendragon series, a series that I highly recommend. This books is a little older than THG but it's about another planet where a crazy company takes over and everything is made by them and people are chosen to fight is insane games that often result in injuries or death. You should read the other books first.

Someone I know read those last year they sounded way to complicated.

Hmm, I haven't heard of The Quillan Games but it sounds good!!! I've read both Matched and Divergent though--I LOVED them!

There is a Manga, It's it's about a strange Japanese governemnt, where they take 42 teens, and make them fight each other to the death using normal weapons like Uzi's and Magnums, but they also have like hand grenades and crossbows. It was a good series, however it also includes things like Rape and such.

Although I believe they made it into a book.

That sounds just like HG, ecept for the last part eeew!
