Ending of The Iron Knight

The last 3 paragraphs in The Iron Knight after the whole Meghan and Ash scene was confusing for me. Maybe it's because my mind is still fuzzy from reading the book but I'm so confused about what happened. That was Grimalkin right? But what did they mean by "I am happy that you have finally found peace." I don't understand what's happening here, can someone please explain?

Grim was at the place where ariella had "died" the first time in Ash's arms. The tree that grim was under was the after form of ariella when she really died. Remember when Julie wrote that when faeries die they don't really die. Their soul becomes something of nature. That tree was ariella. Grim said that he was glad because she finally found her peace because ariella was (trying to explain this as best I can) tormented because ash could never be hers and that she also had finished her part as the seer. When she died, she died with the knowledge that at least she did her part in the quest and that ash was happy. She just wanted ash to be happy and with that thought, she finally died in peace. No more worries. She didn't hav to worry if ash was still happy or not. She knew that he would be happy with Meghan. That was her peace.

All fey, no matter to which court they belong too, when they fade away they get turned into something that has to do with nature. Like, let's just say Titania suddenly died. Even though she's all big and powerful, her afterlife form could be a blade of grass (a probably pissed off one at that). I don't think faeries have a choice in their after life forms

Yeah I was a little confused to. I thought maybe it was Ariella's spirit/soul maybe, I guess because we were back in the hallow. I don't know that's all I could come up with.

*edit*
I forgot that Julie said that about them not really dying and their soul becoming something of nature. So ok that was a great way to explain it.

so ariella was the tree. ok so ariella is happy, wat about puck? it should have ended with pucks happyness somehow. i mean i love megan and ash together but puck needed to find love to...

And what was the reptile skeleton?

So I'm not the only one confused about the ending. Obviously its Grim talking, but We all seem to be confused about the skeleton. Cause as we all pointed out, fey don't leave skeletons behind, they leave twigs or leaves; rocks or ice etc. And Ariella was a Winter fey, why would there be a tree and flowers and vines? It should be like a rock garden.

Okay so I just finished the book yes I'm a little late and I understand that the skeleton was the wyvvern that killed her the first time but if she is a winter get why did she turn into a tree is it becuase she was powerful and trees are symbol of power it just doesn't make sense to me

By her and she I mean Ariella

Fey not get

sure! Grimlakin is talking to Ariella's spirit. Kind of. By sacrificing herself, she found peace.
