I just received my physical copy today with a Green signature, no yeti or hanklerfish... I will be hunting them in the wild though!I finished the book the other day, I couldn't wait for mine to come in the mail, so I got the Kindle version also! I loved it!
Gosh I loved this book. I just got a purple J-scribble. Still no yeti or hanklerfish, which is ok. I won't be hunting becuase I will have to buy it if I find one. (I am saving. I want to go to LeakyCon 2012) I cried my eyes out when I finished the book at 1 in the morning.
I didn't preorder- decided to take my chances hunting for a hanklerfish in the wild, and I was rewarded. I found at least 5 hanklerfishes waiting for a home at my local target. As for the book- I still don't even have words to describe it. I was worried that it wouldn't live up to all the anticipation, but it far surpassed anything I could have hoped for. It's heartbreaking and beautiful and life affirming and has instantly become one of my favorite books. I may have paid money to read it, but it is an honor and privilege to be able to read this book.
I actually didn't preorder it either. The Indy store I bought it at had around 80 copies so I just ended up going there.
I'm slowly realizing that they were shipped in packs, because at some stores there were a bunch of silvers, some were a bunch of greens, etc. I have yet to find wild yetis or hanklerfishes. TFIOS was amazing. I don't think I need to tell any of you that :)
I looked through alll of the books in my local bookstore but I couldn't find a hanklerfish or a yeti...I finally settled on a magenta signature.
I was so eager to get the book but, when it arrived, I just couldn't read it yet. Yesterday was the internet blackout so I stayed offline and spent the evening with TFIOS. It was perfect.Mine has a black J squiggle. I saw it on the grocery store best seller shelf (yay!) on there were 4 copies - all blue J-squiggles. I'll request a hanklerfish when the tour gets to Portland on the 29th.
I have the audiobook and will start listening to that tonight!

Today, I went hunting in the wild. I went to Target, where they had one green signature and a signature with a red hanklerfish. They I traveled to Barnes & Noble. Now, they had many copies of the book. But there was one hidden signed copy with a red hanklerfish.

Yeah, I emailed him and amazon. Everything should get sorted out.
I hope he adds hanklerfish to the resigns - I really want one =p
I skipped over the entire discussion just in case of spoilers! But I got a nice, simple looking John scribble in my front cover.
I finished this book a week ago, and I'm glad to say that I love it to pieces (but who doesn't?). It's my first John Green book, and I currently have both Looking for Alaska and Paper towns with me, ready to read.Unfortunately, I didn't preorder it, but I did get it on my Kindle, so no John scribble. :(
I loved every aspect of this book. I love it so much that I constantly toss references at my friends, only to watch them look at me in confusion. It's both sad and hilarious.
I hope that the next time John publishes a book, I have the willingness to pre-order it and get my John-scribble.
I cried, too. Sobbed. A lot.

My preorder didn't come with anything but a red John scribble (which is wonderful), but I found a Yeti in the wild! At Target of all places. I gasped very loudly upon opening it.
I just finished and the amount of tears that escaped my eyes was infinite (but remember, there are varying degrees of infinity). I had to stop and compose myself throughout. The most touching book I have ever read, hands down. No book has ever made me cry. This did the job.
