Alis chuckled. "I know it is, but you are a Grace to me."

She rolled her eyes "Sit Down." She said and went to get her sewing stuff

He eyed the posh surrounds and sank down on the edge of a chair, carefully not to disturb anything.

She came back. "Do you drink?" She had a bottle of wine and a needle and thick thread.

"Usually something stronger."

"I have whiskey " she said, "I don't have any other sort of pain stuff..."

"Bring on the whiskey." He stretched his legs out in front of him and crossed his arms behind his head.

"Sure thing" she set down the things and got the whiskey. She came back with the bottle, clean gauze, a bowl, and some rags.

He took the bottle from her and down about half of it.

"Hey now, I need that." She said

He smirked, holding it out to her.

She took it and poored some of it on her cloth. She began cleaning his wound again

He sucked in a breath when she placed the rag on his cut. He closed his eyes as a wolflike growl rose in his throat.

"Ssssshhhhh, hush now I know ithurts, but you'll thank me later." She cleaned it then began threading her needle

His teeth grew longer and fur started at his fingertips, spreading up his arms.

She tied a knot to the end andthreaded her needle

"Make it quick, please." He asked in a gravely voice.

she nodded and began sewing quickly

He ground his teeth together.

"Buckup. You'll be fine, it will be over soon" she cooed as she knotted the other end of the thread.

"My wolf just hates me sometime."

"There." She said. Standing and taking a small swig of the whiskey before offering the rest of the bottle to him

He took it greatfully, downing the rest of it and sighing, already on his way to drunk.

She smiled. "You hungry?"

"You got anything along the lines of meat?"

"Let me check my freezer, I think I just bought some steak last night."

He relaxed into the chair, holding out his leg to examine her job. "Nice stitching."

"Lots of practice." She said, while searching her freezer

He tugged at his borrowed clothes while he waited.

"Raw or cooked?" She asked turning around.

"If you were talking to my furry face I'd say raw but my sexier form has better manners. Cooked please."

She chuckled and nodded, starting her countertop grill."it'll be a while." She said sitting next to him

He rubbed the back of his fingers along her arm. "Is that so?"

"Yeah. It is." She said examining the small scars on her arms and legs

He leaned forward, now noticing her scars. "What are these from?" He gently touched each one.

"Oh, lots of different things. This one," she said, pointing to one on her elbow, "is from the last time I fought an assassin that was after me, again..."

He lifted her arm, looking her square in the eyes as he brushed a kiss on the scar. "Assassins?"

"Yeah, but they always end up dead, so..." she shrugged

"Why would anyone wanna scar such a gorgeous body?"

"Because they're scared."

"Scared of what?"

"Me. My Grace."

"I'm not scared."

"Well, they believe that my Grace is a killing Grace..."

He cupped her chin. "I'll protect you."

"I don't need protecting. My Grace is actually a survival Grace I was built to survive anything." She smiled

He pouted. "Bummer, then how can I even begin to pay you back?"
