I'm considering buying the graphic novels/comics that I think pick up some of the story.. As I said in my review, depends on money. LOL

For someone new to the this genre, looking for some ideas on what to read, I've posted what I think are some good ideas. I'd add to this list the James Rollins stand alones:
Ice Hunt
Subterranean
Amazonia
Deep Fathom
And for you "Old School" readers
Breakheart Pass
Where Eagles Dare
The Wreck Of The 'Mary Deare' all by Hammond Innes

Mudgeon, your 'Old School' comment reminded me of early Jack Higgins, especially of 'The Eagle Has Landed.' There are several other early ones that are really great. The sequel, 'The eagle has flown' wasn't bad. I liked 'The Vallhalla Exchange.' 'Flight of Eagles' is great. 'Night of the Fox.' And oh, yes! 'A Game for Heroes' 'Luciano's Luck' is different and good.
You can research them on Amazon. In short the ones set in or just after WWII are amazing. The newer they get the more repetitive they get. I have even caught him re-using scenes, thinly disguised.
Don't forget Dedsmond Bagley and Alistair Maclean.
Welcome, newcomers.

These two are by Alistair MacLean, not Hammond Innes

Your right Sharon, I forgot to tag the first two old-school reads. It was a data entry mistake, I've know their MacLean.

Ctgt, I didn't read the graphic novel series about Sable (though someday I may decide to spend the money to run it down. I did read the actual novel however and it's basically an action read. I liked it.
I read the Long Bow Hunters graphic and liked it also.

Mike, I think Long Bow might have been the first Grell Green Arrow books I read, which I also enjoyed. I really liked a short(3 or 4 issue)run called The Black Arrow Saga(I think that was the name).I'll definitely check out this book. Thanks for the heads up.
