Reasons why I loathe Jem:
-He is too perfect
-He stuffed up will and tessa
-he proposed to tessa
-now he and tessa a gunna be together and it will ruin everyones lives including mine
-will cant be with tessa
-will is like 10000000000 times better
-tessa doent truly love him
-now will cant be with tessa
-now jems gunna be with tessa

I agree especially with the perfection. He is just so vanilla. This is strange for me because I usually like the nice guy in a love triangle. But Will is much more interesting as a character and with Tessa.
Everyone coddles Jem. Tessa sacrifices her own wants for him. Will gives up for him. I understand compassion for Jem, but Jem is selfish to propose when he's knocking at death's door. I really liked him in the last book too. Now he just annoys me and as I read I think, "Jem, you better die, or fall in love with Cecily or something."
Just my opinion.

I hate Jem because he proposed to Tessa and it ruined my life! He's so annoying and a bit simple on the character development side. Plus, he complains way to much!
