Bookwatcher (bookwatcher) | 16 comments That's my humble attempt to say something about this book click here, my review

What can I say?
It's perfect and I lost count of how many times I read it. But I never got tired of read and reread it. And I never will.

Well Nicole I read books picturing the characters. Everytime i read i'm also seeing all, each detail of them. For me Belimai was like that illustrations.
I know it's not ethical talk about a writer, in a review about another :-p but I hope Ginny Hale would not be offended by my mention of The Sandman by Neil Gaiman.
I remember him saying he imagine his Sandman as the singer of The Cure. I would love to know who Ginny Hale imagine, when she describe Belimai.
:-) but I don't dare to ask :-p

I love his unhumanity. The best part of him are his eyes

Can't wait it's arrive! I love ebooks, how easy are to read, with my iPad, but sometimes a book is so special I want also the paperback... So, yes, got it now paperback... And can't wait to reread it :-) now not a virtual, but a real book on my hands :-)

I'm very fond of the print version of that book...I'm not sure why exactly, except that it was my first book and it felt so unreal to hold it and think that I'd actually written it.

message 27: by Bookwatcher (new)

Bookwatcher (bookwatcher) | 16 comments Probably it's a weird thing to say but it seems more real to me now
:-)
I love books, not wrong with them, but paperback give me a "real" book sensation no ebooks can give me.
That's why I want it also as paperback.

You must be very proud of it Ginn. It's perfect... Everything is... Perfect.
Looking forward for a next statement, if that's in your plans :-)

I haven't read it but I think the author wrote to me and asked if she could use my world for her story. If it's the same person, she was quite sweet.

And I was really curious about what she did but legally I have to stay away from any fan fiction.

Still, I do worry for the safety of those nice Hogwarts children while they're slumming with likes of Bastard Jack and The Butcher Street Crone. ;D

message 31: by Antonella (new)

Apparently, an author can be sued by a fan fiction writer who feels the original author has plagiarized scenes, events, or plot lines from their fan fiction.

It's odd but my lawyer friends have assured me that it can happen. As an author who's planning to write sequels, the only way for me to be safe is to avoid reading fan fiction stories that are set in my own worlds...

It's a weird, funny world sometimes, isn't it?

That is bizarre!"

It is, isn't it?
I've talked about it with a few other authors and we all agreed that it seemed strange but that we all abide by the "rule" and keep clear of fan-fiction based on our original works...

I guess I'll never know if Belimai drunkenly pinches Harry Potter's bum... or throws up on his shoes...
Oh well, I can dream I suppose. hehehe.
