How do you feel about the characters in Robyn Carr's Virgin River Series?

Just finished the first one but did not rush out to download any more ... not sure why!

I love this series. I am from the area (Fortuna, Ca) based on these books. While my husband was in the military stationed around the world, reading these books made me feel like I was home.

Have read the whole series and loved it.

I am reading the series also and have read one and two and the last River Bend. I love how it is in the same town and the same people with each book exploring certain people, but the rest of the town included. It is like this is your town and very relaxing to read. Love it. Good reads for curly up with a good book or Kindle.

I really enjoy this series. When I first found it, there were 8 of them out so I had some catching up to do. Can't wait for more.

I adore Robyn Carr! I love the Riordan brothers and Jack and his army pals. I am completely ensnared in their lives. I really enjoyed her first book, The Wanderer, in her new series too. Every time there was a little glimpse of someone or something from Virgin River, I got all excited. Can't wait for the next book in both series!

This series can easily be turned in a TV Drama, I really enjoyed it, read all of them thanks to my local e-book library.

This series was my introdution to Robyn's work and I have since read her other series too.

Cheers,

Hi everyone, just wondering what the steam level is in this series? Thanks

Best series ever. I started midway through the series and since I have a Kindle now, I am filling in the gaps with those books I couldn't find at my local library. I like how Carr can make me laugh out loud sometimes, and the romance is always tastefully written.

Hi Maureen!! Yes you can join in on Robyn Carr's Yahoo page. We talk about all sorts if books and series over there always looking for new members. Great group over at Jack's bar and Robyn herself pops in from time to time le she did today!!

I have read the Grace Valley series and the entire Virgin River series. I will miss the series but have read the first 2 books of the new Thunder Point series and I think it will be another hit. Join us at Robyn's page at Jack's Bar.

I enjoyed the series. Read the first four or five I believe. I enjoyed when it brought me back to Jack and Mel.. the rest of the series didn't interest me as much.

Her new series is called Thunder Point. She is not doing any more Virgin Rivet, but says the VR fills might pop up in the new series. I finished TheWanderer the first book of he series and was hooked on page 1!! The next one The Newcomer comes out in June I think

I love the Virgin River Series. I haven't read all of them yet, but definately planning on it. If there really was a place like Virgin River I would move there.

Robyn has a new series started first book is already out!! I have it have not started it yet

I read all 20 books in 16 days. I was extremely depressed when I was finished and there were no more. I felt like I was supposed to send Christmas cards to everyone in the book I had become so close to them!

Love the series. I'm on book number 13 and absolutely love them all!

I am enjoying the series. I began with Grace Valley trilogy and moved on to the Virgin river series. I happen to be a Nurse Practitioner and work with midwives so, I was attracted to Mel's character. I love the descriptive writing of that part of the country. Tackling women's issues also well drawn into story lines is appealing. I intend to read all the books. My dearest friend gifted me with a shopping bag of 23 Robynn Carr's books, so I am in it BIG.

has anyone ever read books from cape light novel,
by thomas kinkade; katherine spencer book list,
there is about # 14 books and i really liked than they are right up there with robyn carr, just thought i`d let you`s know if you`r looking for something new
to read.

Love Them! One The Best Series Ever! ... Ive Read The Whole Series, Never Get Bored Reading Them, I Always Have My Eye Out For When A New One Comes Out =]

I listened to all of the books in this series and hated for it to end. I had to listen to book 1 again because I missed it so. I would recommend.

I am a fan of this series, i'm in my 9th now (Forbidden Falls) and I so love the previous ones. I didn't know about the series then, i just happened on its 20th (My Kind of Christmas) and I fell in love with Paddy and Angie, the unselfish kind of love that makes me cry.

That's what started me on this series ans the next thing I know I am searching and reading Robyn Carr...

I so wish there will be a 21st series of Virgin River. Looking forward to reading your other books.

This series is so sweet. If you like this you should look at Nora Roberts Boonsboro Inn series

I have read all the books in this series so far. Loved them all. Great characters I would love to have as my friends. They're fun, loyal, supportive, and loving, even during the hard times. Good people and great story telling. Since I don't have a TV and read in the evenings and on the weekends, I have read many, many books. If I were to suggest an author to read, it would definitely be Robyn Carr. The best!

She has a new series out called Thunder Point. 4 books in the series I love them!!

I've read all of the Virgin River books (at least once) and loved them.

The sense of community and the way they take care of each other is so heartwarming.

The aspect of having it be a very military-friendly community is close to my heart, since my son is a pilot in the Navy.

It's great that so many of the characters reappear in future books in the series.

Reading Promise Canyon. My favorite couple is still Jack and Mel although I love those Riordan brothers. Who is your favorite couple?

I have read the first Virgin River book. I liked it, but not enough to buy the next one. When I run across it at a used book store or Goodwill, I will pick it up.

Trying to get into the newest series. Something Point. Not as good as the other series.

Just started this series. It’s so good! It makes me seriously homesick - I grew up in small-town Oregon so a lot of similarities to this place, nature-wise. I would love to live in a town like this!

I just finished the third book in the series and I am hooked!!!! love this series!

I wanted to read the books before I watch the series on Netflix!

Read the whole series and loved it....I kept the books in my personal library.

Love this series- started with the earlier series Grace Valley and loved those too. The new one coming out bext week- Sunrise Point is excellent. After a while you feel like the characters are real and you want to go live there! I have met Ms. Carr at a couple of library conferences and she is just as wonderful as her books are.

I like this series, but the books are slow to get going. I enjoy how you can "see" Virgin River in your mind, but sometimes the story gets too wordy...if that makes any sense.

I have really enjoyed the Virgin River series also with the exception of Hidden Summit. I love the romance and drama and suspense thrown in. You get to know these characters like they are family. I love how Robyn uses real life situtations in her stories. Whether it be spouse abuse, dealing with early menopause, amputees, etc. You can relate. I didn't like Hidden Summit as I felt it left me wanting more. The characters really didn't develop and i would have liked to see more suspense and excitement with Connor and his situation. The ending really didn't WOW me. Spent too much time getting involved with characters for future books. But I love Robyn and her writings. I would never desert her.

I've only read the first one but I absolutely loved it. I am trying to read a few things in between so that I don't get burned out on the series or read them all too quickly. I love to savor a good series.

I loved the series! You will fall in love with Jack Sheridan and want to read all Robyn's books to follow Jack and Mel and all the growing crew in Virgin River.

Jen wrote: "How do you feel about the characters in Robyn Carr's Virgin River Series?"

I love love love this series, and have finished Hidden Summit, I am waiting for the next one to come out. Sally

I like it a lot, I read them between other books, to relax and clear my thoughts , because they are really sweet and enjoyable.

I really loved the series but had to take a break. I read straight through like Becky. Now I'm really looking forward to the book coming out in March. I actually wish we could have another story revolving around Jack again but I have grown to love the other characters too.

I have read the first four books, and I didn't really enjoy the fourth. It kind of turned me off. I am really hoping that the fifth book gets back on track. I will give it a try when i am in between books.

I love this series as well. I have my mom hooked on the books. In dec, hidden summit came out and I gave it to my mom for Christmas from the Virgin River gang. She thouht it was funny. Just got Redwood Bend on the day it was released.

I have read the first five of the series. I like to save some of them and take my time enjoying them.

I love the VR series and am awaiting the newest release. I have also read a few of Carr's other books and they are also very good.

I had never read anything from Robyn Carr until the Virgin Series. I thought it was very well done. I recommend!

Loved this book and have read the entire series. Robyn Carr describes very real issues and addresses solutions that are doable. she also brings her characters to life in a believable way.

I love the Virgin River series. The characters are all individuals unlike other series I have read where the men all seem to be the same person with different names and jobs. When Preacher says something, no matter what book it is, it sounds like Preacher and the same for the other characters. That is hard to do after so many books in the series.
The only issue I have with the books is the one with Noah, the preacher. I'm sorry but for a preacher to have premarital sex and say he thinks God wanted it that way? That was pretty creepy to me. That doesn't show his love for the woman, that shows his disregard for God. Why make him a preacher if he doesn't follow the basics in the Bible? That really bugged me. Could not finish that one.

Love the books and love that she keeps us up with the whole bunch. When I bought the first ones I had decided not to keep any more books (Had twice moved into smaller places and didn't have room) have read all but Sunrise and still have them. Got the last two on my Nook.

I have read all of them and loved them. I read some of them out of order because I ordered them online cheap so read them when I got them. I wish I could have read them slower because they were great.

Love this series so much! When I went to RWA convention in Orlando a couple of years ago, I was the first in line at Robyn Carr's table for the benefit book signing! What a lovely lady. Her autographed book is one of my prized possessions! I did take of break and I need to read the rest, but now that I'm writing I don't have as much time!
