Yup, there are no rules against cheating, I'm not very strict lol :P

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) lol. I wanted to read 10 but I needed to mix them to get to that lol

message 10: by J.A. (last edited Feb 05, 2012 10:23AM) (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Opal Fire looks more fun, but I have that Joe Konrath on my kindle so if you read it first, you can tell me if it's any good, hehehehe. ;o)

Not sure between the E's. Hmmm, I say Dragon Blues. :o)

I sooooo want to join up for a challenge again but I'm all over the shop with my reading lately and my focus is wavered to the point of ridiculousness. S'pose I could just do the LOVE challenge. I could certainly use distracting as my head keeps telling me to reread the Chicagoland Vamps series again.

message 11: by J.A. (last edited Feb 23, 2012 01:27AM) (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Okay, I hunted through my Kindle to see what I have and have found enough to cover 'LOVE'.

Here goes:

L - Fangs For The Memories (Young Brothers, #1) by Kathy Love by Kathy Love - DONE!
O - One Foot in the Grave (Night Huntress, #2) by Jeaniene Frost (speaks for itself) - DONE!
V - Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Kitty Norville, #1) by Carrie Vaughn by Carrie Vaughn DONE!
E - Marked (Eternal Guardians, #1) by Elisabeth Naughton by Elisabeth Naughton DONE!

And I'm going to use Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout as my bonus book because it was full of romantic moments and lovey dovey ness that I jus know is waiting to blossom into something awesome.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) omg Fangs for the Memories is brilliant!

message 13: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Is it funny, Kay? I'm struggling to get into stuff at the moment.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) Yes it is very funny. I have read the whole series and when I've read lots of serious, sad books I always go back and re-read this book. It makes me laugh so much and there's some great scenes ;) LOL

message 15: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Ooooh, cool. I might bump it up to next then. :o)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) It's really good I love it =)

4 down 2 to go!

Finished Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer , Never Cry Werewolf (Never Cry Werewolf, #1) by Heather Davis , The Wedding of Antanasia Jessica Packwood and Lucius Valeriu Vladescu (Jessica, #1.5) by Beth Fantaskey , Juliet Immortal (Juliet Immortal #1) by Stacey Jay

Still need to read, Jessica Rules the Dark Side (Jessica, #2) by Beth Fantaskey & Diabolical (Tantalize, #4) by Cynthia Leitich Smith

message 29: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Just finished with Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Kitty Norville, #1) by Carrie Vaughn so that's 3 down and 1 left to go. Have a different book to read first before I get to Marked, though. :o)

message 30: by Denae (new)

Denae (denae3) | 250 comments Go Julie! :) ...so really you're reading 5 books for sure this month not 4! :)

message 31: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Um, I guess so, hehehe.

message 32: by Denae (new)

Denae (denae3) | 250 comments Five down! and Three to go! :) Plus I read the second book after Opal Fire! :) I know I'm supposed to only be studying this week....but I can't help myself! lol :\

message 33: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Hehehe, you have as much will power as me. I've supposed to have been working every day this week, but because the kids are off school and I only have 1 here (which means no school run--yay!), I've been totally lazy and just read, read, and then read some more, lol. I'm pretty certain I've got through a book a day the last couple of days and I haven't been that work-lazy in ages. :o)

message 34: by Denae (new)

Denae (denae3) | 250 comments I know I know it's sad but not! (if that makes sense) lol Well, I have my test today so I won't have to be torn between studying and reading (not that there's really any competition between the two for me lol). I also have read a book a day the past few days! lol I read Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer and then couldn't stop so I read the last two lol....so now I have to read the rest of my "challenge" books! :o)

message 35: by Denae (new)

Denae (denae3) | 250 comments Ok! 6 down and 2 to go! :) Woo Hoo!!! I'm on a roll...lol :o)

5 down 1 to go!

Still need to read Diabolical (Tantalize, #4) by Cynthia Leitich Smith

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) So I can't think of a book for my Book based around Love. Do you think a Urban Fantasy book with romance in it could class for that category?

message 38: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Only if the characters actually fall for one another, Kay. Otherwise, it's not officially love, right? Just attraction. Um ... how about ... gargh, I dunno. Most the romances I've read lately have been same old same old and I'm waiting to be hit with something fresh.

message 39: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) I'm just on my last book now. Not sure if I'll do the bonus lovalicious book. Might just read what I fancy then totally cheat by sneaking in and slapping up here if I happen across one that's oozing romance. ;o)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) hmm I have no idea what to put. In the book I've just read the characters have fallen for each other you can tell but they aren't actually together yet so I don't think it counts.

I may have to fail the challenge just for that one category lol

message 41: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Just keep reading, Kay, and then update if you happen across a book where the characters end up together at the end. You still have time.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) Yea I know. I so should have read my ARC of Hide & Seek (Games of Zeus #1) by Aimee Laine this month instead of last month lol

message 43: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) That one would DEFFO have passed as romance, lol.

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) Yes it would have. Hmm maybe I should re-read LOL

message 45: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Ha! What about Half Blood--is that romance? Maybe I can pull off the bonus read after all. ;o)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) I would say definitely! There is a lot of romance in Half-Blood

message 47: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) Whooo. I'm sorted then. :o)

Kayleigh {K-Books} (kayley_12) =D
I loved Half-Blood, it's brilliant!

message 49: by Denae (new)

Denae (denae3) | 250 comments So... Half-Blood (Covenant, #1) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (if that's the right book) and Hide & Seek (Games of Zeus #1) by Aimee Laine are good....I should read them???

message 50: by J.A. (new)

J.A. Belfield (jabelfield) I have yet to read Half Blood, Denae. But I read the prequel novella and enjoyed it, and I also read the first book in that authors other series Obsidian and it was pretty darn awesome.

Love Hide & Seek. Love Tripp Fox. He's a HAWT male lead for a book and a little bit naughty though ever so romantic. :o)
