Jessica This was honestly one of the worst books i think i have ever read. Anyone agree/disagree?

Amy I was very surprised that I liked it because there isn't really much going on. It just pretty much follows Abbey in dealing with her best friend's death and hanging out with this weird guy. But nonetheless I found it brilliant along with the rest of the series. I think it has something to do with the fact that it is quite an emotional book, not in the sense that it makes you want to cry or something, but more in the sense that it explores emotions in a way that I haven't really seen in a YA novel other than one or two novels I have read. I just found this a different enough supernatural YA novel that had me interested. I liked that Abbey questioned her sanity when discovering Caspian is a ghost as opposed to "oh, you're a vampire? well let's carry on making out anyway" The Hollow felt more realistic, to a certain point. But yeah I surprisingly enjoyed this, I just found it different and interesting. I have read far worst books, *cough* The Immortal series *cough*

Jessica I agree with the fact that is more realstic than other YA books but maybe that's what put me off. I would have better enjoyed seeing her and Caspian getting together because I'm a typical teenage girl and that's what I find interesting to read about. And like you stated in your first sentence, there was little going on with this book. The main character just wasn't someone I find interesting enough to read about because I could not relate to her whatsoever. I also happen to love the Immortal series but to each her own. :)

Amy I think I was just curious as to how this would pan out. I was curious enough to read the second one and with one being left I thought I might as well finish it and I did actually quite enjoy them. Something different. Plus the emotional story of Abbey getting over losing her best friend had me interested. When I read, I am fascinated by how an author approaches various emotions and found Jessica Verday very good at that. Sorry on The Immortal series, I'm 18 and I think I've reached the point where some YA novels frustrate me and I go to the older fiction, and some I love. I think if I was younger and hadn't have read the books I have now then I would have probably thought they were brilliant.

I agree with you one hundred percent. There's just something about it that made me read the second book. Right now I'm on the third book, and I can't wait to see what happens.

Maya I aslo didn't like it. The story just finished when it actually started to get interesting.

Anna I just got done reading the whole series, and I liked it. The way the author approched the emotions and all, I found quite diffrent. Plus, once you actually got into the books and the story, it got pretty good. And the ending to the whole series was great. Couldn't write a better ending.
