Only read Star of David from Wolfsbane and Mistletoe so far. Which I enjoyed, but can't really set apart from her Alpha & Omega series, so it's difficult for me to say how good a story it actually is or isn't.
I would also love to see more of David. Maybe a stand along novel all about him??I've read all of her short stories (except for the one in Happily Ever After) and enjoyed all of them. But then, I've enjoyed all of her BOOKS too.
Briggs should write a novel full of short stories and include Ben's, Issacs, Asils, and Brans..............
In the signing that Kasia posted on the introduction thread here, PB mentioned that she would write plenty of short stories, including some about Bran. She said she wouldn't do a novel because she wants to preserve his mystery. I think that makes sense. She plans to gather all the short stories together into one volume, which makes me a happy camper.
What is the short story "The Price" about? That's the only one I haven't read. Still want to read it but I was just wondering what it is about?

I know there was going to be a short story about Warren, is that out yet?

The short story about Warren has been released. It's in the anthology "Down These Strange Streets."
Thanks for the link, Gerd. It makes me love the story even more reading about why she wrote it. I totally agree with her reasoning!
I loved that short story about Warren. Just goes to show--NEVER mess with a were-wolf's love toy. (Even if you ARE a witch.)
I can't wait until Briggs publishes books of all her compiled short stories. I will buy it, even if there are stories I already have in another anthology.

But, at this point, I want everything with her name attached to it. :-)
yep, having all the short stories in one easy to find book (hey, trying to figure out WHERE an anthology is is always a problem, because unless the author you are looking for is the first name on the title page, its probably filed under someone ELSE's name) is alway great. I'd definately buy it too.
When it comes to short stories, Briggs is a master. In all anthologies I read, hers are always among the best. My favorite is of course, Alpha & Omega from On the Prowl anthology. But In Red, With Pearls fromDown These Strange Streets was also great...
I recently read Briggs' short of Rumpelstiltskin. It was very good. But then all of briggs work is good.
Good news, there's finally going to be a Mercyverse Anthology (collecting some previously published stories and some new ones):http://www.hurog.com/forum/index.php?...

Oh, wow, great news! I'm so happy that Ben's going to have a story...
Great news. I've only read two of PB'S shorts: Anna's story and Star of David both of which are great, so I'll really look forward to an anthology. She has a good sense of pace in her shorts - they feel 'filled out'.
I'm really hoping that in her anthology book she tells more about Sam & Ariana's relationship, past and present. I felt like it just kind of rushed together. I also would *love* a story about the planning of Mercy & Adam's wedding. Bran vs Mercy's mom? Priceless! And that felt rushed to me, too. It seemed like they had just really gotten together and then it was their wedding day. So, just a few stories I'm hoping to see. :Fingers crossed:
Looks like you're in luck Nikki ;D this was take from MIke's comment on Patty website (her hubby). If you haven't visited recently - take a look - Mike's revamped it.http://www.patriciabriggs.com/
"Patty's decided to do a book of short stories next. I don't think she's chosen a title yet, but the plan is to publish several of the "Mercy's World" stories from previous anthologies along with a number of new stories in a single volume. She's finished a story featuring our favorite British werewolf, Ben, and a story featuring Samuel. She's working on another couple of stories, and hopes to have the initial work on this book done by the end of this month."
