Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) I'm gonna start a sentence and then everybody has to add something to it so we'll end up with an awesome story.

message 2: by Stephanie (Bookfever) (last edited Feb 10, 2012 07:18PM) (new)

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) It was 2am when Elora Winters left her house on thursday night.

message 3: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (bookwormjenn) | 26 comments She felt guilty sneaking out after curfew.

message 4: by Haley (new)

Haley "Mom and Dad will kill me if they find out," she thought. But Elora had no choice. This had to be done. Tonight.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) She'd never been more determined than she was now.

message 6: by Haley (new)

Haley Eventually, the person she'd been waiting for fell in step beside her. Neither of them spoke; they were on a mission.

message 7: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (bookwormjenn) | 26 comments "She'll tell me tonight." She said aloud walking through the brisk night.

message 8: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan kept pace with her, giving her a sidelong glance. "I know you think so, but Elora, come on. We've done this before. She's never there. She's a bigger lier than I am."

(I don't mind if we want to change the name, it's just the first thing that came to mind)

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) (Logan is good!)

Elora laugh once, bitterly. "Yeah. You're not helping at all, Logan."

message 10: by Haley (new)

Haley He shrugged good-naturedly. "You didn't have to invite me along."

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "You invited yourself along," Elora said.

message 12: by Haley (new)

Haley "Meh. Same thing really," Logan told her. "It's unimportant. Did you bring everything?"

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "As always," she said.

message 14: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan pulled a face. "Don't get cocky," he warned.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "I'm not cocky," Elora said. "I'm just sure of myself. What's wrong with that?"

message 16: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan sighs, fixing her with a serious look from his usually laughing brown eyes. "Nothing," he finally says. "Nothing is wrong with that. I just don't want you to get your hopes too high, all right?"

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) Elora looked at him. "I know," she said, sighing. "I just hope this is it."

message 18: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan took her hand, trying to comfort her without words. "I hope so too," he said.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) They walked on in silence for a few minutes more before reaching their destination.

message 20: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan rattled the rusted iron gates. They stayed firmly locked. He took a few paces back to look up at the sign above them. "Why does it always have to be a graveyard?" he muttered.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) Elora's lips twitched. "Don't tell me you're scared," she teased Logan.

message 22: by Haley (new)

Haley He adopted a confident smirk. "Logan Masterson, scared? I don't think so. But, you're telling me you enjoy sneaking through graveyards in the middle of the night?" He raised a challenging eyebrow.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "What can I say? I'm a freak," she said. "Let's go."

message 24: by Haley (new)

Haley The two of them slip silently along the rod-iron fence, searching for an easy place to climb over.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) Logan gave Elora a boost over the fence.

message 26: by Haley (new)

Haley Once she's safely on the other side, he hoisted himself up and over to land in a crouch beside her.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "Show off," she said to him.

message 28: by Haley (new)

Haley "You say that like it's my fault I'm this awesome," he replied, clearly pleased with himself.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) Elora rolled her eyes. "Let's just go."

message 30: by Haley (new)

Haley Quietly they make their way forward, both suddenly more serious and more determined. The time for light-hearted banter was over. Now they were about to find out what was really going on.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) They moved swiftly but very quietly.

message 32: by Haley (new)

Haley "How far in do we have to go?" Logan whispered to Elora.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "Not far," Elora answered him. "The mausoleum is right over there."

message 34: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan pulled a face at the word "mausoleum". "Please tell me we don't have to break into the crypt of some long-dead family."

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) Elora grinned at him. "That's exactly what we're going to do."

message 36: by Haley (new)

Haley "Let the good times roll," Logan muttered, taking the lead and almost tripping over a tombstone that had long ago sunk into the earth.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) He heard Elora laugh softly.

message 38: by Haley (new)

Haley When they reached the mausoleum, Logan waited while Elora dug around in her pack for something.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "Lora, what are you looking for?" Logan asked when he was getting impatient.

message 40: by Haley (new)

Haley Elora finally held up a pair of bolt-cutters. "How'd you think we were getting in?" she asked him.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "You think of everything, don't you?" He said.

message 42: by Haley (new)

Haley "I've had a long time to prepare," she reminded him.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "Yeah," Logan said slowly.

message 44: by Haley (new)

Haley Elora looked steadily at him, waiting for him to say what was on his mind- she'd known him long enough to recognize when something was bothering him.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "Spill," she said to him. "What's on your mind?"

message 46: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan rubbed the back of his neck uncomfortably. "Elora, I know how badly you want this, how long you've been waiting for this to happen. But I just... I have this really bad feeling about tonight."

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "I don't care, Logan," Elora said. "I need to do this. I know you don't understand but I..." She sighed.

message 48: by Haley (new)

Haley "Fine. Promise me though, that if things start to go wrong you'll get out. As fast as you can, no matter how little you've learned, you'll run," Logan said.

Stephanie (Bookfever) (bookfever) "I promise," she said.

message 50: by Haley (new)

Haley Logan relaxed, but only slightly. "Thank you," he said.
