Thoughts as I go along:

- Bring Out Your Dead

- Wading through boxes that haven't been looked into for a long time, I realise that incoming 2012 acquisitions are piling up (ready for 2013 Busting Challenge?).

- TBR Mountains can't be destroyed. They evolve and mix differing proportions of size, shape, colour and genre but they will always exist.

- some TBRs are from 10+ years ago and it is safe to say that my tastes have changed a lot during that time.

- each time I look at some books I almost retch so have created a OFF TBR AND INTO WPB shelf to cater.

Two very good points, you almost make it sound like TBR mountains are living, breathing beings, I guess in a way they are!

This message must have been lost in the notification free zone last week and I have only just noticed.

Thank you for your comment re living TBR's - sometimes, when under stress TBR can feel like a dragon breathing down one's back, and at times of sickness, sadness, loneliness TBR is a household pet that brings a feeling of comfort.

Bettie like the great mix of books you read (and recommend) your comments are always a breeze that make me smile, and yep TBRs cannot be destroyed and like Dr Who they just keep regenerating :)

Ah, yes, that lovely notification free zone aka making one feel very unpopular. Lasted over 48 hours for me and all those notifications gone and GR's response - sorry, it shouldn't happen again.

Geevee, that's another good description for the ever evolving and changing TBR pile and proves again it's alive!
