*Begin*

Lani had been out gathering fruits and vegetables from the forest when she heard the crash. It startled her, and her conscious told her to go bak to the village hidden in the forest but curiosity won out. She didn't know what planes were, of course, so when she came along the scene she was confused.

"Alo?" She called, seeing people strewn across the sand. She grabbed her dagger, knowing that she should get the translator from the village. Someone had once town out to a mainland and learned the language, and taught it but she never learned.

Ariana woke up with a minor struggle. She felt dizzy and shaken, but reasonably okay. When she looked around at the other people on the sand, she stood up, rushing over to the person closest, checking their pulse. When she found one, she moved on, continuing until she found a person without one, a rather young looking man. She started CPR, looking around still as she did so. Some one else had to be awake. "Is anyone awake here?" she called out, checking for the persons pulse again. She felt it slowly start up, amazingly enough, and went to the next person, still calling out for anyone.

Hearing a voice but unfamiliar words, she moved towards the sound. "Alo?!" She calle louder, holding her dagger but moving quickly.

Ariana looked up. "Who's there?" she asked, turning and lpoking for the sourcce of the noise.

She spotted the girl. In the sun, she looked vulnerable. Speaking a few foreign words, she then stopped trying to remember the simple English lesson she had once. "I," pointing to herself, "help." The words weren't pronounced right but her message was clear, she could get them to the village.

"Thank god." Ariana said, turning around to look at all the people, then back at te girl. She was limited when it came to communication, but she'd have to make do. "Feel throats." she tried, motioning for her to check the people's pulses with the person she was checking. She prayed she understood what she was asking for.

She nodded, remembering the doctor do the same to a man wounded by an animal. She moved to the nearest person, placing her hand gently on his throat. There was faint beat, she put her hand above his mouth. There was breathing, so she assumed he was okay. She moved down the beach finding two people who had died from impact. She gently covered their faces with large leaves out of respect for the dead, but her work was quick.

When Lani was withing a few yards of Dane she stood from an unconcious but not dead passenger. Her eyes caught his and she blanched, caught off guard. Holding up her hands in the air, she watched him cautiously. She wasn't as scared as Ariana because in her village the men were usually more forceful.

She lowered her head, wincing at the gun but not making any noise but a little whimper. She watched the pale man fearfully.

Ariana sighed, having done what she could. She saved several people, but she was overwhelmed, and approximately, she just hit the last minute. She couldn't do anything but help the people still alive. She looked up, seeing Dane holding a gun. "Hey!" she called, going over.

Hearing the women's voice she turned her head but kept Dane in her vision. "Help?" She asked, eyeing Dane for a minute.

Lani didn't know what was going on, why would that man be trying to hurt the other girl? She wasn't doing anything, she was helping other people. Anger boiled inside her small body, but fear battled it.

She approached him cautiously, then took his pulse. Dehydration was common among some of the laborers, so she recongized it. He didn't have any sweat on his face, which was odd because of the temperature. His forehead was very warm and when she pinched his forearm the skin didn't bounce back. She took out her cantine and dipped it into his mouth. SHe knew it wasn't enough but better than nothing.

Arian went forward, despite the fact that he had leveled a gun at her face. She picked up the gun and put the safety on. "Let's ask questions before we start shooting people." she said, taking a motherly tone. She turned back to Lani. "Thanks." she said, nodding in appreciation in case she didn't understand.

((I was under the impression our characters have parted ways, I'll go check though.))

She sighed, taking a waterbottle from her backpack and giving him some to drink. "I'm surprised you're the one that got dehydrated, what with you sitting here." she said idly.

Lani backed away on the sand, gladly letting the girl take over. Knowing she should go get help, she watched for a few moment as she listened to the words. She recongized ones like 'we' but didn't get it fully.

"Help." She spoke again, then started towards the forest at a slight jog. Her tone was affirmative, to tell them she was going to go get the doctor.

"I know, because you, little Mr. Trigger happy, are not getting the gun until I'm sure you won't shoot anyone." she said, keeping the gun away. "You were just about to shoot me."

((Kay. Want me to make the Village Translator?))

Ariana nodded, sitting down. Nothing had really hit her, since she was so busy. Now, she had time to really process it, and it scared her, a lot. She gave a shaky sigh, but resolved not to break down. People needed her, this was not time to freak out.

((@ Emily: That'd be good. I can just play a doctor w/o getting specific, or I can make an literal character. Which do you prefer?))

Lani made it back to the village in impressive time, knowing it'd take longer to get back to shore with the others that she needed. People were mumbling in the center of the town about the crash they had heard, and she didn't waste time finding the doctor and translator.

Zolin looked up at Lani, having previously been watching the smoke over the trees. "Alo Lani." he said, looking over her shoulder. "Pale-faces?" he asked, having see the plane crash.

She nodded, then quickly explained how many of them were hurt and one had a gun. She then grabbed the doctor, a middle aged woman who had been in the streets like everyone else. She knew Zolin could keep up but she wasnt sure about her, alas she started through the forest at a moderate pace, explaining everything that had happened.

Zolin nodded, listening attentively. He didn't like the part about the gun, but he pushed that aside, in favor of thinking through his English terms again.

She was being rather loud, or at least compared to her normal self. They were nearing the beach, and so she lowered her voice, fears returning. What if she had le them into a trap?

Rosalina yawned and woke up from her nap. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and looked around sleepily. Everything looked weird. There was lots of stuff on the ground.
Rosalina carefully got to her feet and curiously wandered around looking at everything, not really sure what it all meant. She tripped on a rock and sprawled on the ground, her face scrunching up as tears threatened to fall. She went back to her feet and started crying, her knees lightly scraped up from falling(though shockingly that and a couple light bruises and scrapes where all she had even after the crash).
"Mommy!" Rosalina wailed and ran along the beach, trying to figure out where her mom was so she could give her a kiss to make her better.

(Could I jump in somewhere? :) )

((Wait, I'm confused. Was Rosalina supposed to be the little girl with Dane or not? Cause I had the impression she was(but had woken up next to Dane, since he'd put her on the ground next to him) then had wandered off since she didn't know the person next to her and Dane was asleep...? I dunno. I'm probably just getting things mixed up. I've been really tired lately....))

Ariana looked up.
"Oh thank god." she whispered, going up to them. "Um, translator?" she asked. Zolin stepped forward. "Great. Can you tell the doctor that one has dehydration, please?" she asked, pointing to Dane. Zolin nodded, explaining to the doctor.

((So what should we do? Is Rosalina the same girl, or a different girl? If she's the same, should I edit my post or should you?))

Rosalina ran crying along the beach until she found her mom lying in the sand. Her mom looked alright for the most part, but someone older would notice how she was dead from drowning. But all Rosalina saw was her mom taking a nap and sunbathing. Or something like it. Something seemed a wrong, but Rosalina couldn't place it.
"Mommy!" Rosalina cried and tugged on her mother's hand. "Mommy! Wake up!"

Lani saw the little girl and her heart broke. She glanced at Zolin, then told him she'd be right back. Approaching Rosalina, she got on her knees and didn't make any sudden movements. She was a few feet away, and looked down at the woman. She was clearly gone. Not knowing what to say to her, she decided to let her cry it out. Everyone needs their time even if they are young.

Rosalina sat on the ground heavily, still tugging on her mother's hand. "Mommy! Wake up!" Her tears were slowly starting to slow as she tried to get her dead mother to wake up. Rosalina frowned at her mother's corpse and tugged at the hand one more time before looking at Lani. "Why won't mommy stop sleeping?"

She heard a few words out of that sentence, but she knew what she was asking. She wondered if she should tell the girl the truth. "Mom-" Pointing to the woman. She cringed. "Dead." The word came out and she looked at her, heart breaking at the child's loss.

"Dead? She sleeping!" Rosalina hugged her mother's limp arm, glaring at the strange lady who was saying weird things.

She just pursed her lips walking back a few steps so she wouldn't scare the child but still keeping an eye on her. She needed Zolin or that woman. Definetly not the scary man.

Ariana nodded, doing what she could. She saw Rosalina, and sighed. She walked over, sitting next to Lani and the young girl.

Lani looked at Ariana, thankful someone could communicate better than her.

"Is this your mommy?" she asked Rosalina, putting a light hand on her shoulder.

Rosalina shrugged off Ariana's hand and scooted closer to her mom as she nodded, her big blue eyes staring at Ariana. "I want daddy...." She whined. Honestly something about this all was really scaring her. Rosalina didn't know what was going on. Why was mommy still sleeping? Why was there so much stuff on the beach? Where was daddy?

((I'm thinking her dad should be missing, then someone could bring him in or make the character later if there's a need or a desire for something new in the rp.))

Ariana tried to come up with something to say. She kneeled down in front of Rosalinda. "We'll try and find your Daddy, okay? But you need to be brave, okay? Be brave for daddy." she said, trying to reassure her. "What's your name?"

Rosalina slowly nodded then said quietly, "Rosalina. Where's daddy?" She crawled away from her mom's corpse to climb onto Ariana's lap and wrap her arms around the stranger. This was all really starting to scare her, and she wasn't sure why.

Sarah heard all the yelling and began to stand up and look around. She saw a few people standing down the coast. She fell face first into the sand. She looked down at her feet to see what had made her fall it was her suitcase she picked it up and water began dripping out. She stood up but as she tried to walk she found herself stumbling over other people, who were either dead or unconscious.

"We'll find your daddy." Ariana promised. "Just be strong for mummy and daddy, okay." she said, wrapping her arms around Rosalinda's shoulders.

Rosalina nodded, her deep blue eyes tearing up. "Why not mommy wake up?"

Ariana sighed. "Mummy's up with the angels in heaven." she said softly, looking away. "She's watching over you right now, keeping you save."

(( I have no clue how to explain death to four year old!))

((Neither do I! I don't think anyone does, really.))

Her nose wrinkled in confusion as she tried to understand everything. "But mommy is right there...." she pointed to her mother's corpse.

"Well, mummy's body is still here, but mummy isn't." she said, so confused on what to say.

Rosalina frowned. "Huh?"

"Mummy's up in heaven right now, and she can't being her body with her, so we have to take care of her body for her." Ariana tried explain.
