Mount TBR Reading Challenge 2012 discussion

My reading paths are always off in another direction so I'm not listing what I plan to read, only what I have read that is owned.

That sounds rather pitiful, but the rest of my 2012 reads (25 so far!) are library or ARC's.

I was speaking tongue-in-cheek, too. :) I've been collecting freebies this week on a book blog giveaway.

Wait, we'll suppose to resist kindle freebies? Since when? It's like Christmas, almost every day.

I know. I've picked up at least three today :p

Hey, isn't this a challenge to read books you already own? That's why you gotta resist those freebies! But, I suppose they don't gather dust, and they are free.....

They definitely don't gather dust, plus most of them are rather shorter than my usual books so come in handy during end of year crunch time :p

Plus if you keep them long enough they'll qualify for next year's Mt TBR Challenge ;-D.

Too funny - I'm sure that you'll have no problem meeting your challenge so long as you keep away from the "new" stuff.

That is my problem in a nutshell :/

I believe that it's most of our problems, which is why we have to create these personal challenges in the first place - ha ha. I figure that I can still tight until my library sale this spring, which is when I'll have a problem. I can't resist paying $1 a hardback or 50 cents a paperback. Plus, the money goes for a good cause, right?

Oooh, I love FOL sales. Never know what you'll find.

I'm seriously in trouble now. I have four books from Amazon that need to be at the top of the pile. Four don't count ARCs. Argh!

I accepted three ARCs last week that I just had to have and read NOW.

And who was it that very recently set up a buddy read on a book I just bought and therefore not part of my Mt TBR? Hmmmm???

Me? My copy of said book doesn't count towards the challenge either, it was an ARC.

Glad to see your Checkpoint post. Those ARCs do get in the way sometimes...(and the library...and the books I just bought this past weekend that are calling my name). Good start though!

12. And One Rode West by Heather Graham. Gah, what a disappointing end to this trilogy. Most unlikeable heroine.

I just read about your little thrift store ventures. Does that mean we will be seeing a slew of books added to your reading list and coming up in the feeds? Any great discoveries?

Ah, if it wasn't bit this damned challenge Bev's lovely challenge, that might be possible, but who knows?
