Guys in books are just... well... better! discussion

So peoples who have read The Host... WHICH ONE?!
I prefer Ian... Jared's a jerk in my opinion... Ian's so sweet and loveable and he really loves Wanda!

Well, I can see why Jared's a jerk to Wanda. He really loves Mel and then some bodysnatcer just kind of takes her away, so I understand where he's coming from. But Ian dose rock. He's sweet and obviously loves Wanda unconditionaly. *Sighs* Why must Stephenie Meyer make it so hard to chosse between her guys???

Ian. All the way. I love how he is willing to fight for what he thinks is right, and he is able to apologize and admit he was wrong. He fought for Wanda's life on multiple occasions, not Mel's but Wanda's. I almost like Ian more than Edward.

Jared was a jerk, but he didn't see Wanda. He saw the soul living inside his Mel. Ian saw Wanda. He fell for Wanda.

Yeah, scary, but I could agree with the comment about Ian more Edward. Ian has far more personality, but the thing that lost it was that it was just one book. Ian could have been much more popular if the books where a series. But I do prefer it being one book vs. series!

Stephenie Meyer has mentioned in interviews that she might write a sequal to the Host. I hope see does, because I want more Ian and Wanda, as well as, Jared and Mel. There is so much she can do with the story.

I know. You know the outtakes and extras she has on her Twilight pages on her website? I want her to post stuff from The Host like that. She must have some.

OMG she might make a sequel?! That would be awesome! Although it may not... it ended on a good note.... Then again it'd be nice to find out if the humans take our world back...

Yes, that would be comferting, wouldn't it? I mean, I don't want some allien running around in my body. Espically ones that are that nice! Ugh!!

Did anyone else crack up when they read the part where Jared, Jamie and Mel were watching that basketball game? haha. That was amazing!

Yeah just think... In a few years we will no longer be ourselves... We will have aliiens in our bodies... How... Nice... and comforting...

Umm, niether? I didn' think this was the best book I've ever read and the characters were uh.. kinda boring.

If I had to pick one, probably Jared.

JARED? BUT HE WAS SO FREAKING EMO!!! HE WOULDN'T LAY OFF WANDA AT ALL!!! IT WASN'T HER FAULT SHE LANDED IN HIS FIANCE' BODY!!!

Once again, I didn't enjoy the book or the characters. I thought Jared was protective of Mel. He wanted his fiance back from a group of aliens who constantly took people for their own use.

Yes, I can understand that about him. Heck, I would love a guy that protective of me! But I still didn't like him.... He was just... too violent I guess...

Yeah, I can see your point. I didn't mind Ian, though.

Pretty much all the guys in the book had there perks and their let downs. It was a good book. At times I thought it better than Twilight!

well it depends on the point of view

personally, i like wanda more than mel so I'm all for Ian.

but if someone was more for mel (even if her fangirl-esque ways get annoying sometimes) i can see why they'd prefer jared

I think Ian is sweet for Wanda, Jared is to rough for her.

Yeah. I wonder if in the next book is going to be about their relationships or about the world.
