i'M READING THE FIRST ONE NOW

I made it 70 pages before giving up. I disliked Wendy, she was so self centered, and didn't really care that her actions had a big affect on her brother and aunt. They have given up everything for her, sacrificed a lot, but she was clueless. This one just wasn't for me.

I loved both of these books

I'm about half way through the third book and I do not like Willa and Matt together. Don't ask me why because I don't know. I like both characters just fine individually but together? Haaate. You don't even see them together that terribly often. It could be because it was totally obvious that they were together in the second book but the author doesn't have Wendy "discover" it until book 3 or something.

I'm not a shipper. I ship no one in this series. To be perfectly honest, I'm not even sure I like anyone in this series enough to even be a fan of the books. I think I only finished the first two because I had a 20 hour bus ride and needed something to listen to when I wasn't reading. So, now that thats established (view spoiler)[ I have been whatever about Wendy since the first book in the series but now that she's slept with Loki and is "in love" with Loki I actively dislike her. I don't know if its because she's spent 2 1/2 books pining for Finn and "ignoring/denying" her feelings for Loki for a book and a half or what but I really, really don't like her anymore. Its not like I want her with Finn. Finn is a dillhole who would never love her publicly or fight to be with her. I cheered when she finally broke up with him because she was actively fighting for them to be together and he had been so beaten down by life and the troll tracker system that fighting for her never would have occured to him. Cheered. So its not because of him at all. But now that Wendy is sleeping with Loki I so can't stand her...and he's my favorite (only liked?) character. Maybe its because I feel like we wasted our time on all of the Finn/Wendy nonsense for her to be in love with someone else. And I don't even think thats it because I like it when the main characters don't necessarily end up together in teen books because it shows that your first love doesn't have to be your last love and you can and will go on and be happy. Maybe its because she refused to sleep with Finn when all he could offer her was one night but she fell in to bed with Loki when all she could offer him was one night. I don't know and its driving me crazy!! All I do know, is that I'm about 3 tracks from the end of disc 5 of 7 and I'm not sure that I can make it to the end because I seriously don't like ANYONE. Even the small amount of fondness that I have for Loki that makes him my favorite character isn't enjoyable because he's only ever seen in scenes with Wendy and I think I've made me dislike of her pretty clear. And another thing that I don't like. Somewhere between books 2 and 3 Wendy stopped talking to people like a normal person. And then somewhere along the way, she's decided she knows more and cares more about everyone in the kingdom. I'm sorry....haven't these people been living this life waaay longer than you? I know that she's the Princess and its her job but seriously. This may be Nightshade all over again. But without me actually loving anything about this series.

Wow. Now I'm really nervous guys. Bought this one a long time ago . . . the whole series.

I feel like I may have played a *tiny* part in your nervousness about this series...:) Other people somewhere out there totes love this series! You can be one of them!
