I think Rosa honestly believes that if anything is to get done, it is up to her alone. It is a burden that she cherishes- she loves to be the solution, though she is often the problem.

I agree she is very focused on "her fix". It is almost like a drug for her to take someone or something she deems needing a fix and getting to it right away. It is almost like the book ends where it began with no personal growth from Rosa that she failed in any way.
