Hi Rebecca! Favorite genre is Fantasy (hence the writing about dragons thing). So happy your book is becoming a reality!
Hi all.I thought I liked murder mysteries, suspense, thrillers. Who knew I could have that an pirates. hehehe.
Nice to see everything going so well for you. :-)
Helloooooooooooooooooo!I'm who the link says I am though sometimes I ponder the question for days. My fave genre is PNR/UF. I'm here because I pledged my soul to the gatekeeper. And I'm currently reading a book that breaks every damn rule I set in place for myself, that should drive me crazy, that has a guy for MC I adore but if I met him in real like I'd think he was a total w****r, and damn I am absolutely loving the read. Oh, and head injuries: they're on my mind, too. ;o)
J.A. -- What book? -- sounds yummy!!
Thanks, Kelly :) I havent yet tried Game of Thrones -- worth the hype?

Here's my review for it, Becca: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... Just finished reading this afternoon. :o)
I dont have HBO -- so I havent seen any of the tv episodes. I picked one of the books up at the bookstore recently, then put it back down and promised myself Id see if it was worth the read before I got into buying a new series of books.
Im such a cheapskate :P

Hi! Thanks for the invite, Becca. My favourite genre:Paranormal, Contemp, Fantasy. Oh, I bought Game of Thrones, read a few pages and put it down too. Gosh, I think I'll go back and continue where I left off. I must have missed some true gems on those first pages.
You will have to let me know how much futher you get.
Im going to give one of them a go and see if I like Mr. Martin's style and go from there, I think.

I've got the whole Martin series but have yet to read it. It's on my list like so many other things.

LMOA!!!! ME TOO, Rebecca!
I'm a fan of just about any genre as long as the story hooks & engages my senses. Prefer fantasy & romance, but I've been known to read a good biography (Henry VIII the most recent & it was excellent) and a pile of non-fiction historical stuff, too.
I'm a big fan of Rebecca's & CANNOT wait to get my hands on a real copy of CotS. Woo Hoo!
As for Martin, can't remember who said about putting his book down, but he is an aquired taste, IMO. Not an easy read, but the man is a genius.
That is all. *waves to everyone*
I find that I have become a lot tougher to please as a reader since taking up a pen. I tend not to give a book more than a chapter or two to hook me in.
Agreed, Rebecca. There's been many times that I have to shut down my inner editor when reading a book. In the Pirates & Swashbucklers Anthology, I've already skipped one story because it bored me.
That inner editor is a real bitch sometimes. I force myself to read at least 2-3 chapters as well. If it doesn't have me by then, then forget it.
I am so glad to hear I'm not the only one.
@Pam: I did that with Cutlass and Musket -- though in that one, even of the ones I did finish, I found very few I really could say I "enjoyed" reading.

I found a golden nugget in P&S! Not finished with it byut the character build and emotion trumps the others.
Hi sweetie!
Rebecca: A friend told me last week, that i'm TOO picky now. Imagine that! So it must be the PEN thing :).

Don't be shy. Say hello. Tell me what your favorite genre is, why you joined, or whatever else might be on your mind.
If you know me at all, you know I never am :)
