RLftCI: ~ All Things April ~




Choose five books from the following and one Reader's Choice for a total of six books this month. You may repeat any category; for example, if you want the read several of the books in the Fool's Gold series, then you may repeat #2 several times.

1. Name: Book with April in the title or the series name. Or the author’s name is April, or the book
     was published in the month of April.
2. Fool: Book with the word “fool” in the title or series name.
3. Birthstone: Diamonds on the cover (April birthstone is the diamond), in the title, or as a
     charater’s name, or even a setting (Diamond Head, Hawaii!), read a book that somehow connects
     to diamonds.
4. Flower: Book with daisies or sweet peas on the cover (this month’s flowers). Either flower can be
     in the title or as a character’s name.
5. Showers: The cover shows showers (rain), or someone gives a shower (baby or wedding), or
     someone makes love in the shower. If you need help finding a “shower” love making location,
     check out our group's “Location, location, location!” challenge. If you want to choose all your
     books for this category, that is fine too. ☺
6. Reader's Choice: You pick it!

Free Space: 100 Year Anniversary. The RMS Titanic, a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, sank on 15 April 1912. Replace any of the above categories with a book that reminds you, in some way, of the Titanic. Or use it as your bonus book.

Or you may choose the Spell It Out Option, and spell A.P.R.I.L. + one Reader’s Choice or Free Space. Use book or series titles, or authors' first or last names to spell the month.

Man-oh-man! I picked up the CDs to and started copying them to my iPod/Touch... and the third one looks like someone took a hatchet to it. It is skipping like crazy. **sigh** I tried to request a interlibrary transfer so I can pick it up later and the computer is telling me I already have it checked out. I guess this means an extra trip to the library. (I know, I know... "poor baby" - LOL!)

Thanks. It's the only way I can keep track. And this time I wanted to give myself options for each "category." After all, I never know what I'll feel like reading so far in advance. Although, most of my options are books I've been wanted to read for a while now, and a couple are books I recently hear really good things about.

Susan, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one reading the early In Death books. She is so far along in the series, and it seems that anyone who is reading it is much further along. I've got books 4 and 5 on my list as possibilities for April.

Oh yes, Lara. I'm just starting this series. Over on the RRRC board we're reading one a month. We may never get through them at that rate, but we have fun talking about them :)
