Did anyone read books where you got to choose the ending? I used to love those books (can't remember the name of them for the life of me). I loved how you would be on a camping trip and then there were two choices and then whichever choice you picked you would go to the page that would correlate with your choice. Anyone else read these types of books?

Tien (tiensblurb) | 18 comments Hi Angie, I think the books you're thinking of are called 'choose your own adventure' books - there are heaps of them around.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 18 comments Courtney, I think to begin with the 'choose your own adventure' series are written for children. I remembered liking it when I was little, probably not so now...

I haven't read them since middle school... but I remember back then thinking they were the best thing ever! After Karen told me the name, I have one reserved at the library and will try it out as an adult. These books probably aren't even for YA they are probable more for children but I am not sure till I get my hands on one.

Tien (tiensblurb) | 18 comments Speaking of choose your own adventure, I've heard one involving Austen-ish books / eras (not quite sure exactly)

Being Elizabeth Bennett: Create Your Own Jane Austen Adventure by Emma Campbell Wester

I think I am going to have to request my library to get it, I looked at their catalog and I don't think they have a copy!

Vicki This takes me back, I also remember reading them around 5th grade or so... I used to cheat though, if I didn't like where I ended up, I go back and try another route!
