I have been trying to remember this book I read when I was a lot younger. Probably 8ish years ago now. It was about a Selkie and there was a relationship between a boy Selkie and a girl who lived on the beach. It had a cover very similar to Sharon Creech's The Wanderer with a guy on the cover and similar color scheme. I can't remember any more specific details.

Is it YA?I'll throw out A Stranger Came Ashore, which is YA, and the Selkie is evil and seems to have some hypnotic power over a girl in an Irish coastal village.
