I think it can.If you read enough just enough you will see some sort of a result. p.s good work!
II have been aving weird dreams about Rue, I guss the book is trying to talk to me through my favorite caracter.
Haha that has happened to me sometimes because like the next day my sis who i share a room with told me that I said Peeta's name out loud in my sleep
Yeah she said that I scared her to the point to where she left the room and slept on the couch down stairs XD

But I did have dreams from that App. Temple run?
I have dreams about whatever I last did, weather it was read or listen to music. The other day, I was listening to this song and then I had a dream about the singer and I jumped on him. It was bliss, haha! Then, later, like maybe a week later I had a dream about Katniss and me in the woods the other day, because I was listening to music off the sound track and reading THG.
So, while reading doesn't give you powers, I think it affects your life mentally anyways!

I'm jealous. All I had was a doughnut. (idk... my math teacher gave it to me!)
My science teacher had a speicial thing called Pi Day!
We did that in 5th grade it was supposed to be fun though it was kinda boring....or maybe I'm remembering it wrong it was 2 years ago....
