Thanks to all of you. I'll be watching North and South to night from netflix. Then I'll try and buy it with Cranford and wives and daughters.

He is in North and South...
I can't wait till I get home from work to watch north and south. But first I have to watch the next disc in the forsyte saga. Is it time to go home yet? And then I also have to watch little dorite witch i baought for mom. So I can wait on that.

We did not get it here in maine. We had Sence & senibility. Witch was really good.

I thought it was Richard on the dvd I know him from Robin hood and a miss marple show. I just added Lark Rise to Candleford to my netflix list. It sounded good. I love mustly anything the from the BBC. Why can't we have tv like that? Insted we have realty tv no offance to anyone. :)

Just started to watch North and South last night. I have to buy the dvd and the book. I'll buy my mom the Elizabeth Gaskell dvd collection and just keep North and South for my self. I do have to say that I'm seeing some Pride and Prejusice between John and Margaret. Am I the only one who sees this?

So far I just have the writers (I think they are the writers) comentary. I listen to the first one so far. Becouse I have to watch part two to night. Then I have to wait till disc two comes to the house witch will be at least a week. Don't know if I can wait. Though I still have Little Dorrit to watch and that is 4 disc and now mom owns that so that might hold me over.

Wasn't Richard Armitage great in Robin Hood? Especially the last season, when he looked all unkempt and brooding!
I love Lark Rise to Candleford. A very gentle, old-fashioned kind of show.
Just bought from Amazon the Elizabeth Gaskell Collection that has Wives and daughters/Cranford/North and South. I could not help myself :)

I rented just one disk of Robin Hood from season 3, simply so I could watch Richard Armitage as Guy of Gisborne and Toby Stephens as Prince John.

He made an excellent Rochester, one of my favorites. He and Ruth Wilson are so cute together! I loved him as Duke Orsino in Twelfth Night as well. That's an older one, way back in the 90s, I believe.

I will be revisiting the book next month with another group here. Its been quite a while since my last read too. I loved the adaptation despite the little changes they'd made but then I "discovered" the book (and Mrs G) from the adaptation.
