If you could rewrite the ending, would you? In other words, was the ending satisfying?

I know the ending happened as it was supposed to and the meanings will be revealed in future books, so really no I wouldn't change anything. We need that strife for the continuation of the story.

But if I could wave a wand I would take Leland and Reyes betrayals away so that Charley wouldn't be hurting so badly.

I wouldn't change a thing. Things happen for a reason, but something good came out of it for Charley, and the angels were not kidding when they said there would be a time of suffering!

I wouldn't change the ending NEVER, but I'd sure as hell add things. I'm still putting my weird thoughts together to post it. Hee, I'm so bad.

I don't think I would change anything either- Leland and Reyes have Charley in a pretty crappy position, but she's really strong and I can't wait to see how she handles it! I think the hardest part of being locked up for her will be the lack of all-access coffee!! I also think it may even bring her closer with her sister, and Leland definitely has some explaining to do...

I agree with all of you. I would not change the ending because Charley will grow stronger through her suffering. Hopefully, the added tension between Reyes and Charley will force Reyes to make some changes in the near future (fingers crossed). I too hope this will strengthen Charley and her sisters relationship as well as Charley and Ubies relationship.

In all, the ending was hard on the heart but necessary for the growth of the characters and the build up of the story line...I would not change a thing.

I'm not a writer, so I would not dare to presume to rewrite an ending. That being said, I will say I HATE cliffhangers...but this book was perfect the way it ended. Hurtful, but perfect. Charlie now has a true friend that cannot be killed (or talk back }:)). Garrett will return. It's time for our little A.D.D. girl to grow up! And come up with snarkier comments!

Happy with the ending....only Darynda knows what's next and I trust her completely......but there must be a happily ever after at the end of all the books! I love Reyes!!!!! x

Exactly, Cindy! I don't think the ending was really a cliffhanger... only a tease of what's to come!! And there are many goodies we have to look forward to! I mean, Reyes is essentially free, Garrett will be around, and Charley has an awesome new guardian!

I'm happy with the ending, I'm sorry Charley has to suffer because of her dad but it seems the only way she can reach her powers is by suffering or being mad at something. Plus, the dog is such a great addition! I don't know what to think about the bike gang - I wonder about their future role.

Cliffhangers are horrible but well, that's what keeps me coming back ;)

I love Darynda and the rest of you gals. You make me laugh and are all caring individuals. Darynda is great to us. She keeps a close eye on what we are talking about and drops in every now and then to add her input. I think that is wonderful. You never know what she might like...who knows?

I loved the ending and wouldn't change a thing. As much as I love Reyes I love the new bikers and the idea that Reyes might have some competition..lol I can't wait to read more.

Wearing blue nail polish and skinny jeans & if I know Dakota, some kick-ass shoes! (I'm so like Charley,in that I can be lured away from a subject). Sooo, back to the book...the biker gang are Charley voyeurs, but I do wonder why Charley kissed Donovan while she knew Reyes was watching....hmmmm....TEASE!

Charley just gave Reyes a little payback, you know the saying, "Payback is a bitch". Reyes is super jealous of any man near his girl, you guys remember his name for Garrett, "it". I imagine we will all be seeing how Reyes makes Charley admit that he is her one and only. So much speculation and so much time until we discover what Darynda's muse has in store for us. Can us say "bibliophilicly frustrated", I cant wait until October. Thank goodness for all of you gals.

I think Charley was feeling down because of her dad, Reyes and Garrett's almost death that she could blame on herself... it was too much pain and Donovan was adorable and went there to see how she was. He was so kind that I guess she needed a little love for a change. I'm not sure if it was intended as a tease, but it sure ended up like that!

Well Charley did say she knew where she stood with Donovan...that he'd sell her out for motorcycle parts...hee!

Cindy and Dana, I totally agree with both of you. Reyes needed a major "slap" in the face after his behavior. Kissing Donovan may not have been intended as nothing more than emotional comfort on Charley's part, but Reyes definitely deserves a good ol' fashion wake up call.

Charley needs to get her bitch on and tease Reyes to his knees.

I loved the ending and wouldn't dream of changing any of it!!! Darynda writes such great intertwining plots and characters that changing anything, would majorly screw things up!
