As all you bakers know if you've read The Hunger Games, food is a BIG part! I have ordered the cookbook and plan to eat only hunger games food on March 23 (when the movie comes out). I wanted to let you know and invite you to join me! I will be posting recipes as soon as the cookbook arrives. Oh, and yes, I know I'm the biggest geek on the planet. =) =) =)

I have not read the books, but you are more than welcome to share. Please do not re-print the whole book, but a few recipes are welcome. By the way, you are not the biggest geek on the planet. If you are on this site, you are with other big geeks....:) I know, I am a big book geek too.
Oh, for the most part. Some of the recipes weren't quite logical though.
I gathered that it would be hard based on an article in my local paper who held a contest to see who could come up with recipes inspired by the books. Some of the foods that they mentioned that are used in the books have, how shall I say this, a distinct ewww! factor so finding food you want to eat to "mimic" those is kinda hard.
They have a lot of good ones but some just didn't make sense. Like have you ever heard of putting 2 cups of cheese and 4 cups of basil in just a pound of pasta??? You'd be eating only cheese and basil!!! I haven't tried the baking section yet, that's my next adventure.
Well, for me the cheese part would par for the course. I am not a basil fan.....I know, I'm no help.

Of course this is an altered version of the book's recipe.
