I like him so far because he's so realistic in terms of potential love interest. He's so annoying but in the way that all boys are annoying; I love it. He's awesome, I want to marry him.
He is soo sweet that is the type of guy i like.

i love Kartik so much! i asked my friend if it was weird to have a crush on a guy in a book, she said yes. But oh well haha i totally love this guy! i haven't read the third book yet
haha im reading the third one now, is it really as bad as ppl say? im worried now. Im at the part where gemma just found out he is working with mccleethy and fowlson

I was so devestated after finishing the third book! He was amazingg...! <3 Definitely one of my fave characters!
iv only read the first one in the series; where you learn virtually nothing about him, should i continue?cuz i dont want to if it has no romance in it.
@Natalie..I've just finished the second book, and am starting the third. Romance, per se, isn't really the thing...but I think these are worth reading anyway. (and there is romance, it's just not the main focus, you know?)
@kathy...thanks, i liked the first one but the plot was a little confusing, is the second one like that too???
Of the two I read I liked the second better than the first. We'll see if I like the third better still. (nice to think the author is thinking of a 4th).
yay i want to see what will happen in the 4th book if she makes one :)

i just ordered this book and i really want to know what it is about and i don't care if anyone spoils the ending. so please someone tell me what it is about???
Ah, Kartik. I had plans of abandoning this series after the first book (purely because of the poor characters that all the females turned out to be). Kartik is sufficient to convince me to do otherwise.

He got much better by Rebel Angels. I liked him in AGATB, but he grew so much in personality and depth by the end of the series. He just seemed like a sexy jerk in the first book. granted, I enjoyed his arrogance reading it the second time around. I like him. He's a good, respectful love interest. I loved him with Gemma.

i agree, i didn't like how it ended with him in the last book. *if you havent read the last book stop reading now*
he's one of those characters that have been through so much that you feel they desirve a happily ever after, and just when your hopeing they tell society where they can shove it and be happy he turns into a freaking tree...figures.
Was my favorite character no matter what.
I love him too. But I was really upset in the last book. In the first one though, he was so realistic and not like any other guy character. This, I thought was great!! Also I think him and Gemma go well together. Which makes it even more upsetting in the last book.:(
The last book......I cried. I feel like Ms. Bray killed one of my best friends. xD
I can't beleive Kartik died. I cried so much. I felt like i was inlove with him, like honestly. why did he have to die :(

I know it must sound weird but I kind of didn't like Kartik I never did I thought he was an odd and mysterious character but in a total bad way. Honestly gemma was better off ending up with Simon Middleton honestly. Even if he did only show up in one book. And what a shame cuz he was hot.
Libba bray really makes the character come alive. You literally get attached to him and kind of end up having a crush on him as well. :') which was why i cried and felt sad for like an hour after i found out he died

I know I'm a little late commenting on this but all the comments saying 'So sad he died' etc. I don't believe he died, he just lives on as a tree?It is a while ago that I read the books but this is a thing that I remembered this way.

yes. Gemma says that she going to find a way out for him but there is no fourth book :(
Thats so sad :( It would be so cool if we knew that Gemma could 'save' him, I just like to imagine that she did haha!
