Since this Q&A officially starts tomorrow, I thought I'd post my official welcome. I began this group as a way to make myself available to readers who want to know more -- the story behind the story. I'm sometimes curious why authors make certain decisions, but I rarely have the nerve to ask. I'm not sure why I feel that way. Personally, I love questions, and I love hearing from my readers...anytime. (My e-mail address is on my web page for a reason.) And the few times I have contacted favorite authors, they have responded with warmth and courtesy. So, why do I still hesitate?
I don't know, but I hope you won't. I'll give it to you straight, too. Touch of Fate was my first published novel. Actually, it's my first finished novel (depending upon how you define finish...in my mind, it means being willing to send it to publishers). I wrote it 7 years ago and for the most part, I've come to terms with its strengths and weaknesses.

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by.
