And thanks for the free download info because I do not have an eReader and one of my goals in life is to never own one ;)

Amen, not really something I like to do but this book will be a nice little distraction/stress reliever while I work on homework. Thanks for the free download info!
My pleasure on the free download info. I ran across it on Amazon a while back and then did the same with the Nook software from B&N. I'm amazed how many people aren't aware the software exists.
Hope you enjoy the collection.

Back in the 1980s when I read Stephen King's Night Shift and Skeleton Crew, I imagined one day having my own collection of short stories published. When I penned my first short story in 1989, a rambling, forgettable Catcher in the Rye inspired tale titled “The Dog Died,” I figured I was on my way. Now, more than twenty years later, that moment has finally arrived.
*Note: No monkeys were hurt in the writing of this short story collection.
