john looked at a book and decided to read it so he grabed it and sat down and started reading it
lucy looked at him"mind if I join you?"she asked pointing to the empty seat beside him,peering over her books,mostly rangers apprentice and lord of the rings
lucy quickly flickered back to her grim personality,or at least tried to
she grinned,then forced it away,taking a seat next to him,but her concentration didn't come
Carter skipped into the room wearing a rainbow shirtMatching pants and her curly hair down
She looked like a living rainbow
" hi eveyone!" she said happily
" anyone want to come outside with me?" she asks
“ carter no but thanks im readin uhh the story of gardening” he said and added "so lucy how r u”
lucy looked up,scowling,sincr she looked like the grim reaper,she tended to act like one,and that included rainbow girls,so she looked back at her book
Carter's smiled fadedShe liked John
But it was useless he was already in love with Lucy
She walked out of the room sadly
Carter admired Lucy She loved her Beauty
She wished she could be like that
But she liked being colourful
They weren't many people Luke carter
So colourful and well different
No one was like her
“hey cater when u head back in” he said b4 she left the room
" I dunno" she answered " usually I stay out there until lunch" she said trying to smile
her scowl deepened,she always seemed to have that drain affect on people,like it was her fault she drained there happyness,or her fault for being so brooding,with her past,it would be hard not to be so....much like her
Carter realized Lucy didn't like her Too bad she thought they could be friends
Bur she wouldn't give up

she looked up at her then buried her nose in her book,the cowl hiding her face as it had alwayd done
”hey lucy can i say something ya know u dont make me sad or anything”his nose still in his book
Alice reached the door of the library she rubbed her face.She cringed at the pain she sighed and went in.
she looked up at him in supprise"r-r-really?"she asked softly"well....i don't mean to make people sad....i just...do"she said lamely loseing her air of grim pride
Lucy didn't make carter sadShe loved Lucy like a sister
only she didn't know
She wanted a friend badly
And she felt Lucy was the one
She knew it

Alice panted from the run from her house to the library and just walked straight to the stack passing John and Lucy. Why today Ms.Fine? she let out a shaky sigh and sat on the floor leaning against the stacks.
she brushed her pale blue hair out of where her face would have been with out the deep cowl
Carter just wanted a friend Anyone of the orphanes

Carter let some tears flow down her freaked cheeks Her eyes burned emerald green
She went back in the library
" just one..." she whispered
he looked in her eyes and said "hey it doesnt matter to me u look very beautiful when u do that“ he said reaching for hand
Alice started to shake at the thought of having to back to that awful home Why does this have to happen to me? she continued to rub the purple mark on her face

her eyes blazed in the shadow of her cowl,mismatched,one green one blue and she smiled at him,taking his hand gently

" so?" she asked out loud
As Alice continued to sit and shake her mind went to all the memories of abuse she received from Jessica Fine and began to cry a bit and shook a bit more violently.
Frenchie looked up. "Woah, Alice, What happened?"

Frenchie scootched over to Alice and gave her a hug. "It's OK" she said quietly
Alice let out a scream,"I'M SORRY!PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!"
having hesrd the crying he turned around and saw the mark on her face jumping up he ran to he and said “who did that to u alice do i need to teach them a lesson the wont forget” he said as his eyes beared fire and his fist shaking
Frenchie backed off a bit. There had been lots of troubled kids at the orphanage, so she had learned a lot of stuff about people. And this girl was being abused by her parents in some way.
Alice had stopped crying but continued to shake violently she looked up at John and spoke carefully,"Y-you can't d-do anything...i-it was m-my f-f-foster m-m-mother."

Alice put her hands to her face and continued to shake and trying to forget everything.
"You could go to the Foster Care Office if she's mistreating you" Frenchie suggested
“hey come here” he said trying to give her a hug “hey lucy can u come here”
"I-I tried before..it just made it worse"
"Oh." Frenchie said, scrunching up her face in thought while rubbing Alice's back
Alice shook violently.As it was silent Alice saw flash backs of her violent past and let out another scream.
Granite froze, dropping her book. a scream. A tortured scream. that was all it took for all the memories to come back. She sat alone and unnoticed in one of the libraries hidden nooks, having violent flashbacks that should only belong in horror movies. She sat, paralyzed, crying, screaming a silent scream as she fell unconsiously into the power of her past.
