Nope I just read, I might try them in the future cause my eyesight is getting bad...

Music help me with that, and my racing-story-making-mind ;)

Oh, I see. Do you like YA romance books?

Not the one I'm talking about actually...

But as for audio books, I think they take too long (personal opinion, I totally don't care if you guys refute this :D). I'm a fast reader, and I also don't particularly like the voices of the people who read them because that's NOT the way the characters sound :) So I listen to my music and read my books! But I do completely understand why other people like them

Other then that I find it most of the people who read the books to have nice voices. Except the lady who read Valentine in "Enders Game" has the most annoying voice in history! But as I only get about two hours a day to read like to listen to books through out the day.
I have listened to the "Hobbit" so many times that I fall asleep to the voice of Rob Ingalls (who reads it.)

EXACTLY!!!! In fact, isn't that what most YA books are all about regardless of genre??? lol
But there are a few nice ones....:)

Hence starting this group!

I read, like a three hundred page book in an hour or two...so yeah.
I read Inheritance in one day. Les Miserables in day and a half, and countless of YA books in like tow hours per book.
So yeah, I read fast.
And yes, it is so annoying waiting for other people to finish books after I've read them...especially when I think it's just so AWESOME and want to talk about it RIGHT NOW!!! ;)
But like, when my whole fam reads a series...we talk about it for weeks afterwards.
A few of those are, Fablehaven, Percy Jackson an other RR books, Hunger Games, and most recently the 39 Clues series. Which, I'd heartily recommend those. Even though they are targeted too younger audiences...they're really good. Kept even me guessing. (and that's saying a lot seeing I can most of the time get a Sherlock Holmes case figured out about a third of the way through.) lol
I'm with you there, Tabi...I read very fast as well. ;)
You betcha! High five to you, too! ;)

At home, as I'm sure any working independent adult can attest, there are myriad other things that forcibly occupy the time that would otherwise be given to sitting with a good book. If anyone has any recommendations for good ones, please send them my way. I have plenty of recommendations myself.

My go-to audios for zoning out time are:
The Red Pyramid - these actors read for kids, but are easy to get caught up in.
Three Men in a Boat - read by Hugh Laurie!
Neverwhere - read by the author, Neil Gaiman.
Fool - read by the hilarious Euan Morton (warning: *extremely* raunchy)
The Wee Free Men - read by Stephen Briggs; His voices make me giggle.

Another awesome book I love to listen to is "Hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy" read by Stephen Fry.

Funny you should mention them together -I am such a fan of Stephen Fry & Hugh Laurie together in Jeeves & Wooster. I'll definitely have to go find that myself!
