I am obviously not doing something correctly. It would not take any more books and if I try and edit it just wants to delete. Is there something else I need to do?

Yes, I think Judy is right -- a GR bug. When you hit edit, do you scroll to the last book,Voss and then begin typing/adding books from there?

I am interested in reading the Plague too.

I went to Voss and then spaced and added Norway then scrolled over to line up the book and added Kristin Lavransdatter

I have been off for a bit as my dad passed away late on the 31st. His services are this coming Sunday and then I should have more time to work on it.

Finished The Prague Cemetery which is not usable for this as it turned out. Now reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle which is wonderful!

Computer at doctors (please pray that it doesn't need undertaker) so typing on kindle fire and this is frustrating.

Both books EXCELLENT!!! Cutting was very insightful as regards the country and culture of Ethiopia with some India mixed in. I cried through the end...for quite awhile. My review is on GR now the blog is on hold until computer back. Finishing EoftheH today. Really enjoying it. This work doesn't describe France in the same depth that Ethiopia is discussed in Cutting. It shows a different aspect of the people perhaps. It is more importantly a book for readers.

Think I am adjusting my opinion a bit about Elegance, which I just loved. It does show the class / caste thing which has appeared in everything so far, albeit in different manners and various degrees. It was very subtle in Cutting. Elegance not only showed the disparities of income and upbringing but also of intellect and education.

u knw u all should try some books by indian authors. n to name a few: Revolution 2020, two states by chetan bhagat,The God of Small Things, The Algebra of Infinite Justice,The God of Small Things, The Algebra of Infinite Justice,by arundhati roy, a renowned indian writer. there r many more ...... hope so u'll read these as well

I am still deciding on India ... there are so very many choices.

Okay...I am working on Challenge Tasks for another group and trying to dovetail them here. A Suitable Boy is what I am choosing for India with The God of Small Things as a secondary. They both meet my criteria of also being award winners or nominees.

Just finished raiding the high seas in Jamacia with Michael Crichton's Pirate Latitudes.

YES!!!! Loved the book but not sure how believable her claims that everyone else was doing this and that but she and her family managed to avoid having to do some things. It seemed to get a bit thick at times. It was an amazing history and culture lesson!

Just finished Funny in Farsi: A Memoir of Growing Up Iranian in America it was truly wonderful. Looking forward to more.

Just finished 2666 by Roberto Bolaño but at a loss as to country. It was originally slated for Mexico but it goes all over.
